Netflix has moved several cartoon series from Netflix Kids to the adult section in its Russian service thanks to the Russian law banning LGBT propaganda against minors.
The change will affect a “very small” number of projects, the company’s press service said, reports Interfax. Netflix has been available in Russia since early 2016.
Netflix noted that TV and film sites are required by Russian law to set an age limit of 18+ for any titles with LGBT content. Netflix Kids is only for movies and shows with an age limit of 13.
Customers in Russia earlier noticed that several animated series had disappeared from the children’s section and now had an 18+ rating, though they are mostly rated 6+ in Western countries. These titles include Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts, She-Ra and the Princesses of Power, The Dragon Prince, and Steven Universe.

The Soviet Union put social values in a deep freezer. Allen Ginsberg was banned from the Eastern Bloc for publicly saying he thought Che Guevera was “cute”. Ironically Soviet funding of left wing groups had a conservative influence socially since they focused on economic issues while Western governments promoted social liberalism as a way to own the Soviets.
Russia is doing better on social issues than the United States is.
That is one reason - along with ethnic bigotry - that globalists hate Russia.

I have, over the years, repeated my thoughts on Putin's morality. IMHO, I don't think Putin is a paragon of Christian virtue or a particularly pious man. As a former KGB operative, he does however, have a deep understanding of the corrosive and destabilizing effects of rampant immorality on a society. That is precisely why the KGB covertly cultivated it in western bloc countries throughout the cold war. This mandate to Netflix should not so much be seen as an affirmation of positive values, so much as a rejection of negative ones.
I know that's a subtle difference, but many of Putin and the Russian government's actions make a lot more sense when viewed in this light.
Sometimes I wonder if I am living in an alternate universe where the us is Russia and visa versa.
How ironic that Russia and Eastern Europe are going to be the saviors of western civ.
