Intercession here is a very important word.
And in the Hail Mary we ask Mary to “pray for us sinners”.
Those that despise the church (even some others from Christians sects) say we worship Mary like we do God.
No, we pray for her intercession and we ask her to pray for us.
Just like folks here ask for all of us to pray for them when they are sick.
It’s a shame to have to put this distinction here but it should make it clear for those who do not understand.
Can’t think of many more powerful things than asking the Mother of God to pray for you.
And being worthy enough that She does.
