The Vatican Goes to Bat for Biden

FrancisChurch provides him with cover.

In 2016, the Vatican was pulling for Hillary Clinton. Just days before the presidential election, Pope Francis renewed his criticism of politicians who speak about erecting “walls.” This led Slate and other publications to run such headlines as “It Sure Sounds Like Pope Francis Doesn’t Think Americans Should Vote for Trump.” Several Francis-friendly prelates ran interference for Hillary Clinton. San Jose’s bishop, Patrick McGrath, wrote a letter to his flock in which he said that Donald Trump’s complaint of a rigged system “borders on the seditious.” According to the Italian press, many of Pope Francis’s aides viewed Trump’s victory as a “bitter defeat.”

In 2020, the Vatican is once again running interference for a pro-abortion Democrat. Joe Biden fashions himself as a Pope Francis Catholic. He brags about his cozy relationship with Pope Francis. In 2016, the Vatican invited Joe Biden to a conference about medicine, a scandalous invite given that Biden supports making scientific use of aborted embryos. Biden gushed about the anti-capitalism of Pope Francis: “We need to create a culture which, as Pope Francis reminds us, cannot just be based on the worship of money. We cannot accept a nation in which billionaires compete as to size of their super-yachts.”

So it is no surprise that such Vatican officials as Archbishop Vincenzo Paglia are helping Biden by downplaying his abortion stance. Last week Paglia served up some mush about the dangers of abortion politics, according to Crux: “As US presidential elections heat up ...

Joe Biden is not the Vicar of Christ. If Biden is elected POTUS, he can be impeached, found guilty and removed from office. No such thing for Humble Jorge, the dictator pope and he damn well knows it.

By the way, it wasn't Paglia who elevated Cupich and Night-nite Tobin to the College of Cardinals or appointed the homo Paglia to be President of the Pontifical Academy for Life.

“So the Vatican supports the guy who supports infanticide. Wow. The Catholic church will lose me on this.”

The vatican/rcc has supported many politicians simply by not condemning their support for abortion for many years and this surprises you? Where was/is the condemnation for all the rc senators and representatives that are openly pro abortion?

“The Democrats, who know nothing about religion except that they hate it,”

Oh no they love religion what they can’t stand is Christianity. You have it all wrong the vatican has always supported democrats sometimes simply by their silence. Nevertheless there are many abortion loving democrats that are rc’s and not one word against them by the vatican. I love how you think those politicians hate religion especially the roman church, but yet the covid bill gave the rcc millions.

Wake up you are not basing your comments on any facts except what makes you feel better about your failing cult.

Pope Benedict XVI tried to divide the papacy.

He thought he could lay aside the mundane duties traditionally performed by the Roman Pontiff or Pope without resigning the Petrine office itself.

In Benedict’s mind, even though he no longer performs the earthly ministry of a local ordinary (having resigned his position in that regard and turned its functions and responsibilities over to Jorge Bergoglio together with the title “Bishop of Rome”), he continues to literally “be” the Vicar of Christ and hold the keys to Heaven, having inherited that office, and those keys, from Peter through John Paul II.

The problem is, this kind of bifurcation was never possible according to the Church’s Canon Law. You have to resign both the ministry AND the office of the Roman Catholic papacy in order to become an “ex-pope”.

According to this analysis, all one need do is apply Canon Law in an objective fashion (i.e., not subjectively in terms of what might he have been thinking or not-thinking at the time) to conclude that Benedict’s so-called resignation was invalid. Benedict having apparently failed to validly resign the office of the papacy duly inherited from JPII, it follows that Benedict XVI must still be Pope. This further means that Jorge Bergoglio must be a so-called “Antipope” and is subject to arrest and removal.

I have no idea what the old sheriff quote you cited means. If you think there is an excellent case to be made, by all means make it.

As far as Benedict acting like he still thinks he’s Pope, have you ever seen a Dad at a family business giving it to his son, but still thinking he’s boss? I’ve seen it all the time, and have even seen my father-in-law and brother-in-law live it. Doesn’t mean he was still the boss, but he certainly acted like it.

You have your opinion as to whether or not Francis is a true Pope, 1.2 Billion Catholics worldwide have their opinion. I think a (really, really) full house beats your one of a kind.

Read through the links. Boy Howdy! There’s a lot of “Archbishop suggests”, “no coincidence”, “has claimed”, may have been complicit”, etc. but a disturbing lack of any real evidence.

I applaud your statement about hating to post stuff with such little backing but, here we are. This is pretty low-grade conspiracy stuff, with nothing other than innuendo to support it. I have no doubt that if there were evidence that President Trump would have responded to the request letter sent by the Catholic groups. The fact that he has not responded is pretty telling in itself.
