For those who have followed my writings over the years, know, that I am not prone to wild speculation, date setting, prophecy crazes, or any other sort of unbiblical theology. This will be a little different. So, let me caution you and preface this article with several points of consideration.
1. I do not know the ‘day or hour’ (Matthew 24:36). You will not find me saying here, on such and such date, the Lord will Rapture the Church. I’m simply giving a likely window of time that I feel, He could return.
2. Do not take my speculation here as Gospel. IOW, don’t quit your job, sell the farm, leave your spouse, or any other life-changing decisions based on what you read here.
3. Do not lose hope if my theory is wrong, and we are still here after ____ date. You can fault me, but don’t fault Scripture. I am errant, Scripture is not.
4. Do keep looking up. Do remain excited about our Lord’s soon coming. I may be wrong by months and year(s), but I believe we are very close.
The Greek word in question in 2Th2:3 is “apostasia.”
Agree. I am willing to stipulate that all of this is true. But what then?
Well we know that this dispensation of the GRACE of God is the making of the one new man, where there is neither Jew nor Gentiles, male nor female. The Church the Body of Christ. When the last member comes in and the Body is complete, Christ will rapture us and Daniel’s 70th week will proceed, followed by Christ’s return to set up His Millenial Kingdom. That dispensation will last for 1000 years. During that time we, the Body of Christ will be judging the angels. When all of this has occurred, along with the Great White Throne Judgement and the Lake of Fire being filled, the next age begins. We just aren’t told what it is. But it is so exciting!
I guess all the early Protestant Reformers were idiots then because they all identified the Antichrist, right from the clues in scripture, same ones as in our bibles.

The early church fathers were idiots too? I guess so. They all identified the restrainer of the Antichrist as Pagan Rome (The Roman State). They were only a hundred or more years removed from the Apostles. Who would I believe, Andy Woods or the early church fathers?

It’d indeed be a hoot and in addition to that what if some alien apparition came right after stating that all those ‘taken’ were removed for the benefit of Earth and Humanity to be ‘re-educated’.
The Vatican could lead the world into that new “age of aquarius”.
I think it’s a perfectly plausible scenario that you present there.
Once we’re gone, all hell is literally unrestrained and the left will get exactly what they wish for politically - most definitely not geopolitically (wars and the rest).
The Rapture might be the straw that destroys America at long last.

Just what did the Church fathers believe was holding back the anti christ?

Genesis Chapter 18. God spared Sodom for a while because Lot was their. Then in Chapter 19, the angels showed up to get Lot out of there, and Sodom was destroyed.
Thus when the Church is evacuated, the restraining influence of the Holy Spirit will be removed and this country will go to Hell in a handbasket.

While they might have won it in the war didn’t they return control back to the gentiles/waqf? With that being said in my mind then it would be referring to the fig tree becoming green again, 1948.
I am not questioning anyone’s belief, so please don’t get offended and lets expose all of our possibilities. Bottom line is that you have yours and I have mine, but when it comes to prophecy hindsight is always 20/20.
