Cripes, can’t you read who the early church fathers say the Restrainer was? If anyone should know, they would. Some of them were alive within 100 years of Paul.

You and Andy Woods (and others) are just making stuff up to fit your theory. The early church fathers say no. The restrainer of the Antichrist was the Roman State. Which beast does the the Antichrist, the little horn, come from? The 4th beast, and that is PAGAN ROME, THE ROMAN STATE.
The ROMAN Catholic Church officially took power in 538 AD and that lasted until 1798 AD. That’s 1260 years of persecuting power. Western Rome was no longer in existence. It was all the Catholic Church from then on.

Same for every Protestant Reformer naming the Antichrist as the Catholic Church/Pope?
Who says they can change the law of God?
Who says they can forgive sins?
Who persecuted the saints for 1260 years?

It will claim authority over all kings
It will claim its power to change the holy times and laws of God as its mark of authority
It will be an apostate Church that makes the nations drink her cup of apostate doctrine
It will be a “mother” Church, with apostate daughters coming from her
It will be a persecuting power, killing the faithful saints of Jesus Christ as heretics
It will hold power and authority for 1260 years following the fall of pagan Rome
It will suffer a deadly wound that will end 1260 years of dominance and persecution
It will be revived after the deadly wound, and all the world would wonder at its revival
