This psalm is for those who are wondering, “where is God in the midst of this world’s evil?”
Psalm 73
Surely God is good to Israel, to those who are pure in heart. But as for me, my feet had almost stumbled; my steps had nearly slipped. For I envied the arrogant when I saw the prosperity of the wicked.
They have no struggle in their death; their bodies are well-fed. They are free of the burdens others carry; they are not afflicted like other men. Therefore pride is their necklace; a garment of violence covers them. From their prosperity proceeds iniquity; the imaginations of their hearts run wild. They mock and speak with malice; with arrogance they threaten oppression. They set their mouths against the heavens, and their tongues strut across the earth.
So their people return to this place and drink up waters in abundance. The wicked say, “How can God know? Does the Most High have knowledge?” Behold, these are the wicked— always carefree as they increase their wealth.
Surely in vain I have kept my heart pure; in innocence I have washed my hands. For I am afflicted all day long and punished every morning. If I had said, “I will speak this way,” then I would have betrayed Your children. When I tried to understand all this, it was troublesome in my sight until I entered God’s sanctuary; then I discerned their end.
Surely You set them on slick ground; You cast them down into ruin. How suddenly they are laid waste, completely swept away by terrors! Like one waking from a dream, so You, O Lord, awaken and despise their form.
When my heart was grieved and I was pierced within, I was senseless and ignorant; I was a brute beast before You.
Yet I am always with You; You hold my right hand. You guide me with Your counsel, and later receive me in glory. Whom have I in heaven but You? And on earth I desire no one besides You. My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strengthc of my heart and my portion forever.
Those far from You will surely perish; You destroy all who are unfaithful to You. But as for me, it is good to draw near to God. I have made the Lord GOD my refuge, that I may proclaim all Your works.
Maranatha!! Come Lord Jesus !!
We, miserable sinners all, confess the sin of resentment against the despoilers, the thieves of our heritage and our peace, the empty pontificators, the lazy socialists who would rather riot and steal what others have worked for than join the human race, the just and the unjust upon whom rain falls.
Abba Father, help us O Lord to not let resentment fill our hearts, for resentment when inflated leads to hatred, and the fierce fires of hatred from hell will burn out our souls. Soften our hearts O Lord that they may be filled with pity for all raging self-destructive souls who in making 'self' and "hate" into addictive idols push everyone away who would have brought stability, comfort, peace, and love into their lives so that their last condition is worse than the previous. In our Lord Jesus Christs name we pray. Amen

From Psalm 75: God is known in Judah; His name is great in Israel. You are glorious and resplendent, More majestic than the mountains of prey.
In the lives of Your sons of Israel, we see that the stouthearted were stripped of their spoil, They slept the sleep [of death]; And none of the warriors could use his hands. At Your rebuke, O God of Jacob, Both rider and horse were cast into a dead sleep [of death]. Father, in the name of Jesus, we cry out for Your perfect vengeance on the enemies of our beloved United States of America and our President, Donald John Trump. With Your heart, we want our enemies to find Your grace and come to the knowledge of the Truth, but until then, Sir, protect us from their destructive acts. We ask You for healing and for preservation of what You established here.
You, even You, are to be feared [with the submissive wonder of reverence]; Who may stand in Your presence when once You are angry? You caused judgment to be heard from heaven; The earth feared and was quiet When God arose to [establish] judgment, To save all the humble of the earth.
We are here to fulfill our vows to You to pray for our Nation and our President. We bring to You our sacrifice of praise for You with awe-inspired reverence. We trust You to cut off the spirit of princes ranged against our commitment to be one Nation under God. You are awesome and feared by the kings of the earth. Amen.

I love this beautiful psalm, thank you. I have it posted on my bathroom wall so I see it first thing every morning! (And a couple of times in the night, at my age...) Our good God cares for us always!

Father, Christians are divided today and we lack a strategy to defeat your enemy. As you gave Nehemiah a strategy that overcame his enemies, unite Christians around the world and give us a strategy to defeat the enemy - we pray in the name above every name - the name of Jesus! Amen and amen.
Portions of Nehemiah 4 follow:
"Now when Sanballat heard that we were rebuilding the wall, he was furious and filled with indignation. He ridiculed the Jews before his associates and the army of Samaria, saying, “What are these feeble Jews doing? Can they restore the wall by themselves? Will they offer sacrifices? ... (Nememiah then prayed) Hear us, O God, for we are despised. Turn their scorn back upon their own heads ... Do not cover up their iniquity or let their sin be blotted out from Your sight, for they have provoked the builders. So we rebuilt the wall until all of it was joined together up to half its height, for the people had a mind to work. When Sanballat and Tobiah, together with the Arabs, Ammonites, and Ashdodites, heard that the repair to the walls of Jerusalem was progressing and that the gaps were being closed, they were furious, 8and all of them conspired to come and fight against Jerusalem and create a hindrance. So we prayed to our God and posted a guard against them day and night. Meanwhile, the people of Judah said: “The strength of the laborer fails, and there is so much rubble that we will never be able to rebuild the wall.” And our enemies said, “Before they know or see a thing, we will come into their midst, kill them, and put an end to the work.” At that time the Jews who lived nearby came and told us ten times over, “Wherever you turn, they will attack us.” So I stationed men behind the lowest sections of the wall, at the vulnerable areas. I stationed them by families with their swords, spears, and bows. After I had made an inspection, I stood up and said to the nobles, the officials, and the rest of the people, “Do not be afraid of them. Remember the Lord, who is great and awesome, and fight for your brothers, your sons and your daughters, your wives and your homes.” When our enemies heard that we were aware of their scheme and that God had frustrated it, each of us returned to his own work on the wall. 16And from that day on, half of my servants did the work while the other half held spears, shields, bows, and armor. The officers stationed themselves behind all the people of Judah who were rebuilding the wall. The laborers who carried materials worked with one hand and held a weapon with the other. 18And each of the builders worked with his sword strapped at his side. But the trumpeter stayed beside me. Then I said to the nobles, the officials, and the rest of the people: “The work is great and extensive, and we are spread out far from one another along the wall. 20Wherever you hear the sound of the horn, rally to us there. Our God will fight for us!” So we continued the work, while half of the men held spears from the break of dawn until the stars came out. At that time I also said to the people, “Let every man and his servant spend the night inside Jerusalem, so that they can stand guard by night and work by day.” So neither I nor my brothers nor my servants nor the guards with me changed out of our clothes; each carried his weapon, even to go for water.
