Fine, if they want to keep ALL priests out of politics, but there are quite a few - up to and including the pope - who seem to be either official or unofficial activists for leftist causes or politicians.
You obviously already know the answer to that question. The church is no longer the Church. The world has been through periods of immoral Popes and immoral Church hierarchies before. It looks like we are going to be enduring it again. Spirituality has always survived upon the faith of individuals. It will again. Truth is a bedrock, and ultimately that bedrock will prevail. The question is only how long will it take, and how much suffering will occur before this happens.

That’s a problem with pastors answering to someone in a higher position in their churches’ “org charts”.
Pastors should answer only to (1) God, and (2) their members.

The truth is the pope will be the false prophet that will support the Antichrist in the Last Days. We have the most pro life POTUS ever and This happens to a Christian that supports babies. Why hasn't Pelosi, Kerry, all the Kennedy's, and others, been excommunicated from the Sacraments?
There is an easy answer, but most Catholics can't get it. We could argue endlessly about Catholic vs. Protestant, but the real question is Bible believer vs. man made doctrine. The Word is written on paper, yet many if not most, have no eyes to see and no ears to hear. As an example, the Bible clearly states the 7th day is the Sabbath and we are to keep it holy. Who changed it to Sunday and why, and what Scripture told them to do this? Who ditched Leviticus 23 Feast days for Easter and Christmas, both pagan holidays?
