Be convinced with these 4 biblical truths: 1. Each of us has sinned; 2. God is just, requiring a punishment for sin; 3. But out of love God sent His Son, Jesus Christ who by dying on the cross, provided forgiveness of sins in taking man’s deserved punishment; 4. Therefore, by faith alone in Christ’s sacrifice for our sins and belief in His resurrection, man can gain eternal life. (Ephesians 2:8-9, Romans 10:9-10, Romans 3:21-26) Read more at https://teleiosresearch.com/salvation-explanation/.

And that that mark will be Sunday worship is absurd.

Not if you know how to interpret prophecy...

No, rather it means not if you follow the teachings of a cult begun by a rebel heretical female and know how to spin Scripture. And as said I do not hold to the pre-trib rapture, but like what refutes your incessant cultic corruption, that is ignored, as will further replies from you, as warranted.

May God peradventure grant you "repentance to the acknowledging of the truth." (2 Timothy 2:25)

That’s what the bible clearly says. It’s also in the new covenant of which we all are under.

I think I've got it now:

Saved by Faith;
Kept by Works.

That's easy enough to remember!

I was accused by metmom of breaking the Sabbath by posting here on the Sabbath.

Funny; I see no ACCUSATION here.

However; a few questions and an opinion are evident.

Hey, it’s the Saturday. It’s the Sabbath.

What are you doing posting on the day you are supposed to set aside for worshiping God?

Is this an example of your “Christian” character? Making false accusations on the Sabbath?

If this is the kind of regard you have for God’s day of rest, you have just provided everyone on this board with a really good reason to avoid SDA like the plague..

Bible Principles:

While this list of Bible principles on keeping the Sabbath holy is not comprehensive,

it should help you as you search the Bible to learn how to be like Jesus and

“do those things that are pleasing in His sight.” 1 John 3:22  KJV

1 John 3:21-23 NIV

Dear friends, if our hearts do not condemn us, we have confidence before God and receive from him anything we ask,

because we keep his commands and do what pleases him. And this is his command:

to believe in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ, and to love one another as he commanded us.

I was just reading in Leviticus 23 where God gives instructions on how to keep sabbaths and holy convocations.

What’s repeated over and over, is simply to “do no ordinary work”.

That’s it. It’s simply a day of rest. While people do use it wor worship as well, it’s not a requirement.

And also, the admonition of Romans 12 to present our bodies as living sacrifices, clearly implies it’s a daily thing, along with Paul’s comment in 1 Corinthians 10:31 that whether we eat or drink or whatever we do, we should do all to the glory of God.

Is that really what you read? OR is the rebellious spirit in you saying I will not do what the Lord says?
Lev. 16:31 talks of humbling ones soul or afflicting ones soul on the Sabbath. This is to dwell in meditation and prayer on Gods Love for us and His blessings.
In the NT Luke 4:16, Jesus had a custom and it was to worship in the synagogue on the sabbath. He's a pretty good example of someone to emulate.
Paul in Acts 17:2 spent three Sabbaths in a row preaching and reasoning the Scriptures. Also his custom.
Acts 16:13 Women gathered on the riverbank on the Sabbath for prayer.
And finally Exodus 20:8 Remember the Sabbath Day to keep it holy. Keeping it holy doesn't mean just laying around doing nothing and from reading this it certainly sounds like a requirement.
People throughout history have rebelled against God. Even people who were brought out of bondage through Gods miracles so it is no wonder now that people will want to continue in sin. But Jesus told the woman "Go and sin no more".

The 3 Angel’s Messages

Rev 14:6 And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people,
Rev 14:7 Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.
Rev 14:8 And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.
Rev 14:9 And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand,
Rev 14:10 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:
Rev 14:11 And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.
Rev 14:12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

Mat 24:14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

The messages proclaimed by these 3 angels just prior to the second coming, are the most serious, clear, and urgent warnings to be found in all of scripture, and they need to be understood by all Christians. They include clear instructions as to what needs to be done to heed the warning, so as to escape the full wrath of God that is sure to fall on those who worship “the beast”, or his “image”, by receiving the “mark of the beast”. Knowing who and what these are is obviously of the utmost importance, and the key to understanding them is found in what that warning says should be done, to assure immunity from the terrible punishment to come. Two verses provide this crucial information that assure safety, verses 7 and 12.

Verse 12 provides in the clearest terms that the faithful saints of God “keep the commandments of God”. Because of their obedience, they are not subject to the punishment that God will pour out in full measure. Clearly if commandment keeping provides safety and immunity, breaking God’s commandments is what constitutes worshipping “the beast”, or his “image”, and receiving the “mark of the beast”.

Verse 7 gives us more specific and clear information to identify, in no uncertain terms, the primary commandment of God that is involved in the warning: “worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.” We need only to examine the 10 commandments of God and see what commandment this is quoting.

Exo 20:8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
Exo 20:9 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:
Exo 20:10 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:
Exo 20:11 For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

Could anything be more clear? The fourth commandment regarding keeping the seventh day Sabbath is the primary characteristic that distinguishes the saints of God, and prevents them from worshipping “the beast”, or his “image”, and from receiving the “mark of the beast”. The seventh day Sabbath is Saturday. So the 3 angel’s are warning that the “mark of the beast” and his “image” involves breaking God’s Saturday Sabbath commandment.

Scripture also clearly prophesied that an apostate Christian church would boldly try to change the commandments of God, and persecute the true saints of God. For the details see Lawlessness In The Temple Of God.

As we will see, pesha is the abomination.

Pesha is one of several Hebrew words for sin. It has a special connotation,
representing man committing a willful deed to spite God. It symbolizes rebellion,
defiance by resisting God’s authority. It represents an act that goes “beyond the
limits” of God’s law.2
It also describes sin against His covenant. All this was
acknowledged as one of Israel’s great failures in Daniel’s prayer in Daniel 9.
We have the misdeeds of the little horn of Daniel 8 against Jesus, His people
and truth, taking over and destroying what the sanctuary or church really
represents. Now Gabriel tells us how, in arrogance, that is done through his
questions (8:13). Pesha challenges:

1. God’s authority
2. God’s covenant
3. And His law

Where is the center of those three things? In the Sabbath commandment of
the Decalogue. Study especially Deuteronomy 5:12-15. This foundational
apocalyptic prophecy shows that the Sabbath will be a pivotal issue at the end.
Gabriel notes that that is a transgression that leads to “desolation.”

Rabinic curse: 70 weeks of Daniel

Some questions have been raised about the source of the Rabbinic Curse on Daniel 9 as quoted in our article The 70-Week Prophecy, and by Professor Veith in his video Just Another Man. Although we have not been able to locate the exact source used in his presentation, we do offer here sources that show the existence of such a curse:

Quote 1
A Sage said: “May the curse of heaven fall upon those who calculate the date of the advent of the Messiah, and thus create political and social unrest among the people.” Sanhedrin, 97b.

Louis Newman and Samuel Spitz, The Talmudic anthology: tales and teachings of the rabbis (Behrman House, 1945): 277. ISBN 0874413036, 9780874413038

Quote 2
What is meant by ‘but at the end it shall speak [we-yafeah] and not lie?’ — R. Samuel b. Nahmani said in the name of R. Jonathan: Blasted be18 the bones of those who calculate the end.19 For they would say, since the predetermined time has arrived, and yet he has not come, he will never come. But [even so], wait for him, as it is written, Though he tarry, wait for him. Should you say, We look forward [to his coming] but He does not: therefore Scripture saith, And therefore will the Lord wait, that he may be gracious unto you, and therefore will he be exalted, that he may have mercy upon you.20 But since we look forward to it, and He does likewise, what delays [his coming]? — The Attribute of Justice delays it.21 But since the Attribute of Justice delays it, why do we await it? — To be rewarded [for hoping], as it is written, blessed are all they that wait for him.

Footnotes to the above:

18 [H] The verse is rendered, ‘he will blast him who calculated the end.’
19 I.e., Messiah’s advent.
20 Isa. XXX, 18.
21 I.e., because we are not yet worthy of it.

Quote 3
Rabbis after the time of Christ have pronounced a curse on anyone who would attempt to calculate the dates of this chapter. - Talmud Sanhedrin 97b, Soncino ed., p. 659. Read this quote online

Quote 4
6. Furthermore, this passage deals primarily with Jesus — not with some “future Fuehrer,” to use Hal Lindsey’s term for the Antichrist. In fact, the prophecy points so unmistakably to the time of the MESSIAH’S COMING, and so directly foretold HIS DEATH, that in later centuries Jewish rabbis who did not accept Jesus DISCOURAGED its study and finally pronounced a CURSE on all who attempt to compute the time elements! 31

Footnote to the above:

Quote 5
HAS MESSIAH COME?
by Avram Yehoshua

A most amazing thing occurs in the ninth chapter of Daniel: we’re told when Messiah would come. But instead of explaining it to us, our Rabbis curse anyone wanting to find it out: ‘Rabbi Samuel b. Nachmani said in the name (of) Rabbi Jonathan: ‘Blasted be the bones of those who calculate the end.’ (1) Some of our Rabbis, in a further attempt to keep us from Daniel, even state that Daniel was wrong. Alfred Edersheim, a Talmudic scholar who would come to know Messiah said, ‘later Rabbinism, which, naturally enough, could not find its way through the Messianic prophecies of the book, declared that even Daniel was mistaken’ (2) (emphasis added).
Footnotes to the above:

Quote 6

Rab said: All the predestined dates [for redemption] have passed, and the matter [now] depends only on repentance and good deeds.

“Sanhedrin 97b,” Babylonian Talmud: Tractate Sanhedrin. Read this quote online.

Jesus and the The Talmud
In Judaism, the Talmud is called the “most holy.” It is the sourcebook for Jews.

On the eve of Passover, Jesus was hanged. For 40 days before the execution took place, a herald went forth and cried, “He is going forth to be stoned, because he has practiced sorcery and enticed Israel to apostasy. Anyone who can say anything in his favor, let him come forward and plead on his behalf.” But since nothing was brought forward in his favor, he was hanged on the eve of Passover. Ulla retored; Do you suppose has was one for whom a defense could be amde? Was he not a mesith (enticer), concerning whom Scripture says, “Neither shall thou spare nor shall thou conceal him?” With Jesus, however, it was different, for he was connected with the government. (Sanhedrin 43a)

The scholars know that when you calculate the time of the Messiah, using Daniel 9 as the prophetic template, you come to one Messiah: Jesus Christ. But they rejected Him. The stone that was rejected turned out to be the capstone, the corner stone, the foundation. No other foundation can we have than that which is Christ Jesus, the Bible says. Israel rejected this Messiah that their own scriptures point to, and say, “Blasted be the ones if you try and calculate why he didn’t come.” This is Jewish Talmudic theology regarding the absence of the timely Messiah.
