Hello, I wanted to offer an update for my mother, Edith, who has head and neck cancer. She’s been on the prayer list since beginning of the year and I put in an occasional update for her. In August it was determined that immunotherapy was not working and Dr felt that hospice would be best for her. Radiation held the tumor in her face back for about 10 weeks and then it started to regrow. I’m remain here with her - she is still on her feet and puttering about the house.
Doctor didn’t say how long he thought she would last. The cancer is in her liver and bones and of course, the face. If *only* the tumor in her face would slow down so that it doesn’t make her utterly miserable, or start wrapping around her throat :( It did attack some of the facial nerves so half her face has dropped, but she can swallow and eat. Thank you for prayers for her.

He was sick for a while and for last few days he was doing not too well and he was slipping away so we were expecting he would pass away soon. But this night (we live in the Netherlands) he passed away in his sleep. He was my hero and always supported me so I will miss him a lot. But I have comfort that he is with my brother now who passed away 4 years ago.

FReeper(Terart) initial prayer request:UPDATE— Dear Freeper Family— how very much I appreciate all the prayers, words of encouragement and suggestions. I read all of them as I waited. My husband got out of surgery and it went well THANK GOD! His heart is strong...they did the triple bypass plus one branch of the other. The doctor said everything else was working well. Before he went into surgery I felt more peace than I had in the past several days and I know it was because of all the prayers holding me up so thank you! I wasn’t the disastrous mess I have been. He is now in ICU hopefully for only 24 hours then into the regular room and then starts the recovery. How very much I have appreciated you seeing me through a difficult time... if in the upcoming weeks Keith crosses your mind in the midst of the insanity going on in the world right now, please say a quick prayer for him. Would really appreciate it! Again thank you for being here for me during a difficult time!

He has been fighting a slow moving infection for a few months now and it has taken a turn for the worse and they had to put him on a vent. He is in stable condition but it will be a difficult recovery. Please pray for his rapid healing

He is 75 years old.

FReeper(Prince of Space) initial prayer request:I’m asking for prayers for my son-in-law. My daughter just informed me tonight that she’s leaving him this weekend while he’s out of town. I knew they were having problems and she “wasn’t happy,” but I was hoping she’d come to her senses and realize she was being stupid. Unfortunately, she hasn’t. They’re both 32, have been married for 7 years with no kids, and they are employed.
The reason I’m asking for prayers is the way she’s chosen to leave the marriage. He’s coming home Sunday to a note explaining that she’s gone. I love him to death but he’s got a negative outlook on life in general. I know how I’d feel if it happened to me and my heart breaks for him. I believe he also has a gun, although we live in Arizona so who doesn’t?
I’ve been here for over 20 years, including as a lurker, but this is only my second post. I’m really feeling anxious about this situation so I’m asking freepers to lift up Adam in prayer and surround his heart with love to help him get through this dark time. Thank you in advance!Update:
They’re talking a little but I have no clue if they’ll work out their problems or if she’s thrown in the towel. It would be such a shame because he’s a great guy overall. I think she’ll regret this decision in the future but she’s not a long term thinker. She’s really smart — learned to read by age 4, spelling bee champion of her school for 4 years running — but she’s impulsive, idealistic, and kinda dumb at the same time. They really need as many prayers as you can spare, TBH.

The surgery part went well, and skin was loose enough that a graft was not needed. Now we wait for results. He’s on restricted activity till 11/30. Hoping and praying that it’s not cancer.

Lord we ask your peace and blessings for the Robinson family in this time of grief over the passing of Sheila.
I lost my dear brother on Nov 7. He died of an aortic dissection (a tear in the aorta). Surgery was successful for a little while after it. Then he went downhill fast. He was a believer in Jesus Christ. And a wonderful man. He was loved by EVERYONE who knew him. He is irreplaceable in my life. Thanks in advance for any prayers.
And I continue to lift up JimRob and John and Chris and all those who knew and loved dear Sheila into the light of Jesus’ presence.
Lord please bring Jim and his family the strength and resilience that will be essential in this time of grief and mourning. In His name, Amen.
So sorry to hear the bad news. Pray that the Lord comforts Jim and the family.
