Question: will this happen again NEXT winter? The Chinese have sent us a flu every year, so why would NEXT year be different?

I have only one quibble with this excellent essay. It's seems that his definition of a family is " a father a mother and children". This is a mistake. A family is created with the vows of marriage. Once Eve was created Adam existed in a family. It was the original order created before the fall. Children who come later are born into a family. The inability to recognize families is one of the great disabilities of our time.
