Heavenly Father –
As we come upon Memorial Day weekend, may we remember those who gave their lives to serve and protect us. To keep us safe. To preserve our freedoms. To frustrate tyranny. To conserve the good. To restraint evil.
As we honor those on the battlefield, may we remember all the prayer warriors fighting a spiritual battle for the soul of our nation and our people.
During this pandemic---in the name of public safety---, criminals are released to prey on the public, again and again. Citizens are jailed for the temerity of going outside, going to church, or trying to earn a living to feed their families.
Lies. Deceit. Censorship. Power grabs. All these abound.
It is now as the prophet Isaiah had said:
May the wicked plans of the ungodly and the evil machinations of politicians come to light. May through Your mercy, You frustrate those plans at every turn. And may we, the people, discern good from evil from the Holy Book through the power of the Holy Spirit.
We lift up President Trump and his advisors to Your guidance and protection during these trying times. May they put their full trust in You to solve the vexing problems of our day as well as combat the spiritually evil that rears its ugly head.
And through the power of the Spirit, may You work a marvelous work and be praised for Your goodness and mercy.
