I’ve talked with quite a few people the last few days. It’s unanimous.
I live about 2 miles (as the crow flies) from Illinois. The contrast between a Republican-led state and a dem-led state is pretty stark. Here in MO, we’ve been encouraged to do social distancing, and masks are encouraged, but never required. Churches and restaurants can open if they want to—most, again are keeping people a few feet from each other. Across the river, even though most of the Wuhan virus cases (a racist statement according to San Antonio TX city gov’t) are in the Chicago area, the whole state remains on lockdown. I think that a lot of people are coming around to your way of thinking...including the language.

I’m with you, brother! I wasn’t gifted with a good temper either, it’s a family tradition in mine.
I did, however, consider getting a military surplus gas mask, just in case some idiot asked me to put one on.
I guess I could wear the camo face mask I wear to slip up on wild turkeys.
