Churchgoers Must Register With the Government in Kansas City
Liberty Counsel ^ | 5/1/20 | Mat Staver

Posted on 05/02/2020 5:42:36 PM PDT by marshmallow

Kansas City, Missouri, officials are now requiring every church to submit a list of members and attendees along with their names, addresses and telephone numbers to city officials for tracking and surveillance purposes.

I am running out of adjectives to describe how completely insane the tyrannical abuses launched by state governors and local officials against pastors and churches are becoming. It is as if these leaders never bothered to so much as glance at the Constitution they swore to uphold and defend. They seem to be governing from some make-believe, dystopian viewpoint.

Yesterday, we received a desperate call from a Kansas City, Missouri, church whose local government is reaching new and terrifying heights in destroying our constitutional freedom. The Kansas City government is now DEMANDING that churches turn over membership lists, along with the names, telephone numbers and physical addresses of anyone who enters a church! This order also applies to all businesses.

The new order states that by recording names and contact information, the health department will be able “to more quickly trace, test, and isolate individuals who may have been exposed to COVID-19.” Anyone who does not provide this information should be refused entrance!

The Germans did this very thing to Jews – collecting the names and locations of all known synagogue attendees - in the early days of the Nazi regime.

[So hundreds can go to the local WalMrt at once and it is fine, but 10 people in Church and they need names and addresses. Uh, nope.]

Yep. My closes Wal-Mart lets in 500 max.

Maybe it’s 11 too many for churches.

ANTISEMITIC LEGISLATION 1933–1939

During the first six years of Hitler’s dictatorship, government at every level—Reich, state and municipal—adopted hundreds of laws, decrees, directives, guidelines, and regulations that increasingly restricted the civil and human rights of the Jews in Germany.

A 1938 Nazi Law Forced Jews to Register Their Wealth—Making It Easier to Steal

In the meantime, Missouri Supreme Court ruling ‘eviscerates’ state’s photo voter ID law

Implementing the law was contingent upon voter approval. In 2016, 63 percent of Missourians supported the measure.

I don’t know what to say beyond adding my voice to everyone’s on this thread. This is is ridiculous, it’s insane, it’s absurd, and it can’t be real.

Time to get out the guns. As Thomas Jefferson said, the Tree of Liberty must be watered, from time to time, with the blood of patriots.

Good luck to any brave FReepers who want to have a go at this problem. My prayers are with you.

Will they have to wear a special badge? Pay special taxes? Have their gun ownership “reviewed”? This is about as unconstitutional as it gets right before jumping off the slippery abyss.

Tell them to get a court order or pound sand. Get a lawyer to represent the Church.

Unless a member of the congregation has CV, they have no need to know any of this info.

And then, they should just tell the Church to inform it’s members that they may have been exposed.

I sure hope pastors have the wherewithal to send them a copy of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights instead of a list of names.

Good idea but I do not think there is ever a requirement to be polite to a leftist, government, jackboot authoritarian.
