4 Reasons To Have A Crucifix In Your Home
1. We should have a crucifix in our homes because the saints have set this example for us.
2. It reminds us not to run from the tough stuff.
3. Our home is a domestic church, and it is a holy place.
4. The crucifix is a constant reminder that Christ has conquered sin and death, and ultimately conquered evil.

I tend to favor the bare cross due to a drying iconoclast tendency I have.
I grew up in a heavily Hispanic area, where Catholicism was really little more than nativist pagan religion with a thin gloss of Christianity. Now I know more than most that that is not Catholic doctrine.
But that is how it is in New Mexico.
No clue where drying came from above. Using an iPhone.
Sunday Gunday Funday.
Amen and second it.
That was some bullet -
Catholics use of crucifixes, leads to their use of idols of Mary, and Saint (fill in the blanks, they’ve got saint statues they put on the dash of their car, etc., for just about everything)
Neither the cross or Mary are evil or wicked, of course, its the idolatry level they take it to that’s the problem.
Trying to get Protestants to adopt their pracices, like a crucifix, is a ruse.
Protestants really have no history and keep repeating the same mistakes of the past, hence the iconoclast behavior.
As St. Paul writes “We proclaim Christ crucified”, hence the crucifix.
Why can’t you? Is it just because the crucifix is associated with the Catholic Church?
Paul also preached that.
Context is your friend in understanding the Scriptures.
This from someone who worships a fallible man as infallible.
How stupid.
You forgot to quote “No comes to the Father but through me”. Jesus
He did NOT say but thru Mary or a fallible man or a saint or a sacrament. You worship the dead.
And if you have a problem with the truth, take it up with Jesus not Protestants.
The sheer arrogance of the popey’s cult is incredible.
That looks more like a wound from a shotgun slug.
To be ready for the visit of the priest at the hour of a person’s death.
For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God...for we preach Christ crucified, to the Jews a stumbling block and to the Greeks foolishness... (I Corinthinas 18, 23)
The truth preaches Him risen. Why don’t you?
Is it just because the crucifix is associated with the Catholic Church?
>Yes, it and your statues of Mary and the “saints.” None of which are associated with the church that I read of in the New Testament. I don’t find the church in the Bible using crucixes, statues of Mary and the “saints.” Nor a lot of other things the Papists hold to.
Unlike the Papists, we vett their claims...like the Berans did. They “received the word with readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so,” Acts 17:11,12.
1 Corinthians 15:12-19 Now if Christ is proclaimed as raised from the dead, how can some of you say that there is no resurrection of the dead? But if there is no resurrection of the dead, then not even Christ has been raised. And if Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is in vain and your faith is in vain. We are even found to be misrepresenting God, because we testified about God that he raised Christ, whom he did not raise if it is true that the dead are not raised.
For if the dead are not raised, not even Christ has been raised. And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile and you are still in your sins. Then those also who have fallen asleep in Christ have perished. If in Christ we have hope in this life only, we are of all people most to be pitied.
