Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem

(Music in The Bible)
Psalms
Psalm 147
1 Praise the Lord.[a]
How good it is to sing praises to our God,
how pleasant and fitting to praise him!
2 The Lord builds up Jerusalem;
he gathers the exiles of Israel.
3 He heals the brokenhearted
and binds up their wounds.
4 He determines the number of the stars
and calls them each by name.
5 Great is our Lord and mighty in power;
his understanding has no limit.
6 The Lord sustains the humble
but casts the wicked to the ground.
7 Sing to the Lord with grateful praise;
make music to our God on the harp.
8 He covers the sky with clouds;
he supplies the earth with rain
and makes grass grow on the hills.
9 He provides food for the cattle
and for the young ravens when they call.
10 His pleasure is not in the strength of the horse,
nor his delight in the legs of the warrior;
11 the Lord delights in those who fear him,
who put their hope in his unfailing love.
12 Extol the Lord, Jerusalem;
praise your God, Zion.
13 He strengthens the bars of your gates
and blesses your people within you.
14 He grants peace to your borders
and satisfies you with the finest of wheat.
15 He sends his command to the earth;
his word runs swiftly.
16 He spreads the snow like wool
and scatters the frost like ashes.
17 He hurls down his hail like pebbles.
Who can withstand his icy blast?
18 He sends his word and melts them;
he stirs up his breezes, and the waters flow.
19 He has revealed his word to Jacob,
his laws and decrees to Israel.
20 He has done this for no other nation;
they do not know his laws.[b]
Praise the Lord.

1. Psalm 147:1 Hebrew Hallelu Yah; also in verse 20
2. Psalm 147:20 Masoretic Text; Dead Sea Scrolls and Septuagint nation; / he has not made his laws known to them

Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem

The following is from a site on the Internet:
"We provide you with your very own personal star, presented on a unique star certificate symbolizing the location of your star in the night sky; creating the perfect gift for any occasion. Buy a star gift from anywhere in the world, then use our new Star Register APP to locate it."
Prices have been drastically reduced because of the Wuhan Coronavirus Quarantine. It would seem that people have other things to think about right now. besides, all the stars already HAVE names. God has already named them and hasn't released them for renaming, as far as I know.
Suddenly, things that seemed very important only a month ago are not so pressing now. The whole concept of "Climate Change" and the celebrity "heroes" of that movement have taken a back seat to hopes that the "climate" will indeed warm up and mitigate the virus. Evidently, it doesn't do well in warm weather.
Naming Stars and Predicting the End-Of-Planet-Earth become foolish endeavors when we see that mankind can't even stop a disease from engulfing every nation, island, and continent. When the latest darling of the Global Warming faction saw her fame fading, she claimed that "she probably has the virus" and was met with ennui and ridicule. Her star, it seems, has set. There were enough real people who really had it and who were really suffering and dying for anyone to care about her "probably" having it.
Psalm 147 is a glorious hymn of praise to God The Creator. It was possibly written for the dedication of the New Wall Around Jerusalem (Nehemiah 12:27-43) and extols the amazing Omnipotence and Omniscience of God. The Septuagint divides it into two songs (Verses 1-11 and Verses 12-20), Framed by "Hallelujahs". The terms "builds up" and "gathers up" denote this Psalm as Post-Exilic.
It is a Hymn of Praise for the One True God Who Restores and Blesses, even after a disaster of global proportions.
Seriously, I did NOT plan this sequence of Psalms to fall during this historic time. And yet, there are no "coincidences".
Come and Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem, For Our FRiends in Need, For Persecuted Believers, and For Our Beloved Nation.
"Let us acknowledge the Lord; let us press on to acknowledge him. As surely as the sun rises, he will appear; he will come to us like the winter rains, like the spring rains that water the earth. " (Hosea 6:3, NIV)
