Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and Easter Vigil/Easter Day are all important, even essential, to the Christian faith.
The church encourages all Christians to participate in all the liturgies of this weekend, because only then do we hear the whole story; only then do we remember and reconnect [re-member] emotionally, mentally, and spiritually to the fullness of Gods love for humanity through Jesus Christ.A focal point of our liturgical journey through the weekend is when the presider proclaims at the Easter liturgies, Alleluia. Christ is risen. and the people respond, The Lord is risen indeed. Alleluia.
To make that joyful proclamation even more joyful, we invite all worshipers to ring bells that they have brought to church. We will have the bells and Alleluia streamers that we used at our Mardi Gras celebration available, but that wont be enough bells for everyone, so please bring a bell, any kind of bell, and smile in church when you ring it at the appointed time!
Another time that we will joyfully rings bells is at the Sending Sentences, when the Gospeler says, Our worship is now ended and our service in the world begins.
Let us go forth in the name of Christ. Alleluia. Alleluia. and the people respond, Thanks be to God. Alleluia. Alleluia.
We will be ringing Easter bells at all three Easter liturgies, The Great Vigil of Easter on Saturday at 8:00pm and the Easter Day Eucharists on Sunday at 8:00am and 10:15am. So come and celebrate the central truth of our faith, that Christ is risen! And ring those bells!

Well then.... “RING YOUR BELLS”
At the Gloria during Mass. We haven’t heard the Gloria since Lent started.
Great idea! We have a farm bell we could ring.
I would have thought that things were still going in Portland on the Solemnity of St. Joseph.
Sample is on the side of the angels.
The zimbelstern on a church organ was originally a collection of cowbells brought in by farmers.

This is a great idea. Thanks.
