All cults and manmade religions are based in works righteousness. Their adherents believe they have to do something to earn their way to heavenpray five times a day, lie on beds of nails, do good works, fast, repeat certain prayers, etc. They do this because they are ignorant of Gods standard of righteousness. This is why they need the Law of God to show them that the leap they are trying to make is infinitely wider than the Grand Canyon. However, before you take them through the Law, help them see that they are indeed trusting in works for salvation.
Lets say there are a couple of cult members at my door. I warmly ask for their names, and then say, I have a knife in my back. I am dying and have only three minutes to live. What do I need to do to enter heaven/paradise/the kingdom of God? They look concerned. One says, A lot. I ask, What do you mean a lot? I have only two minutes to live. Help me. They will normally say they cannot help someone who has just a couple of minutes to live, because their salvation is based on gaining knowledge and doing good works. The fact that they must do things to be saved reveals that they are trusting in their self-righteousness.
When I then ask if they think they are good people, they almost always say they are, and that is the root cause of their deception. While they know they are sinners, they believe their sin is not so bad that they cannot earn their own way out of it and merit heaven. So they must be taken through the Law and made to understand that they are criminals in the sight of a holy Judge, and are guilty of countless crimes. They must be taken through the Law and made to understand that they are criminals in the sight of a holy Judge, and are guilty of countless crimes. They must understand that God is perfect and holy, that He considers lust to be adultery and hatred to be murder, and He will see to it that absolute justice is done. That means adulterers, murderers, liars, and thieves will be damned forever. Once they recognize that, they will understand that their good works are not good at all, but are in reality a detestable attempt to bribe the Judge of the universe. Hopefully they will trust in His mercy alone to save them.
That is how the thief on the cross was savedthrough mercy alone. He didnt go anywhere or do anything to save himself. He couldnt, because he was nailed to the cross. He had no other avenue but to humbly turn to Jesus and say, Lord, remember me when You come into Your kingdom (Luke 23:42). In doing so, he acknowledged Jesus as Lord, and believed that He would rise from the dead (Rom. 10:9).
That is all that any who are involved in works righteousness religions need to do to be saved. They are condemned by the Law. They cannot go anywhere or do anything. All they can do is turn to Jesus and trust in Him alone for their salvation. We are saved by grace through faith, and that not of ourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast (Eph. 2:8,9). So plant that seed in the hearts of those who think they can be saved by their own works, then pray that God causes it to grow and produce fruit.
Tell mommy you love her or you have to sleep on the floor without your blanket.
Did none of your elders never tell you that scoffing is a sorry way to go through life?
Do you like the double negative? LOL
Did none of your elders never tell you that threatening others is a sorry way to go through life?
I am curious regarding your mental condition: in what have I threatened you?
“The Lord my God will hold me accountable if I do not warn you of your doom in following Joseph Smith.”
I know you think that and I know you think you follow the “proper”form of Christianity.
I do not think even your version of Jesus would like the WAY you go about th duties your Jesus requires.
In your present dead spirit state, you have no way of hearing what Jesus requires.
"You will exist eternally but it is up to you where."
Implicit in Christianity is the threat; Accept the gift of the deity or face eternal torture.

Please do not let MHGinTN’s teachings turn you away from our Father in Heaven.
Because of the actions of Jesus we will be reborn after we die in the world. We will then be assigned the job in heaven that we best fit.
It is a quick overview.
So yes, there is an implicit threat of the Lake of Fire. To so many it makes sense because the very Creator has established His scale and given us an escape clause (believe in Christ and trust His Salvation) that He paid for any who will accept it. Only self worth pride can prevent you from seeing the so Great Salvation.
Alas, try and save yourself when the time comes for the scales. Is there a threat therein? YES! And God uses that threat to turn the will of anyone to His Great Grace in Christ. God shows you the reality, you see the threat therein, and scoff. Not a good raod that.
Don’t miss this one ...
“The Lord my God will hold me accountable if I do not warn you”
It is not what you say that is a problem.
it is the way you act like gutter scum when trying to teach your partial knowledge.
I have been telling people where I live, the truth about Jesus Christ. Not one single solitary one, is a US citizen. Not even one. They dont really have a 1st amendment, and English is their second, third or fourth language. My wife speaks 3 languages. 👍 If they say they are not interested, I respect that, and bid them farewell. So, with that, farewell.
By the way GC, MHG and RWC, my son has one more week left, in this phase of USAF pilot training, before he moves on to the next phase. 👍
Rotflol.
I think he just said that talking to people who disagree with you is against the law.
I’m gonna remember that next time I counsel a husband and wife at odds with each other.
You are correct sir. The threat, of the lake of fire 🔥 awaiting lost sinners, is the greatest threat that has EVER been issued to mankind. I took the threat seriously, and left the cult I used to belong to. If others are not interested, thats on them. I usually just move on to Bereans. 😁
Good point.
You make your deity sound like a cheap insurance salesman.
"Ya don't wanna burn up in a fire do ya? Sign here, we got an escape clause."
Don’t accept the mark when it is commanded to you. Remember, a simple Christian warned you, DON’T TAKE THE MARK of the Beast.
BTW, that little insult to God you tried to spittle sounds like something the late Chris Hitchens would say.
