25 I am laid low in the dust;
    preserve my life according to your word.

26 I gave an account of my ways and you answered me;
    teach me your decrees.

27 Cause me to understand the way of your precepts,
    that I may meditate on your wonderful deeds.

28 My soul is weary with sorrow;

Dear Father, Who Art in Heaven, You Have Been My
Dwelling Place Forever and Ever.
Divine Creator of All That Is,
Designer, Creator, Preserver, and
Destroyer of Worlds!
Door to The Eternal,
Desire of the Nations,
Dayspring,
Daystar,
Defender and Deliverer.
Death, Where is your victory?
Disappointments and Disaster? Where is your sting?
Dispersion is at an end, But if You had only
Delivered Us, and Had Not Brought us to this Promised Land, even so,
Dayenu. It would have been enough.
Dayenu, We Are overwhelmed With Your Provision For Us!
Dayenu. Your Grace is Sufficient.

LORD, We Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem,
According To Your Will and Promise.
We Beseech You on Behalf of Our Captive Brethren,
Christians and Jews,

May They Receive Wisdom from You
To do the Right Thing.

Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem

When I was in the fourth grade, I took a special test for "Advanced Placement". The instructor gave me the standard IQ tests, but then started showing me pictures, and asking me if there was something "wrong" with the image.

Most of them were pretty straightforward, but one was puzzling. It showed a disheveled man looking longingly at a little house. The wind was blowing and leaves were being blown to the right of the image. The smoke coming out of the chimney, however, was blowing to the left. That was the obvious flaw in the picture. However, I made up a whole story about how the man was homeless, troubled, hungry, and cold. He was looking longingly at the door to the cottage, wondering if he should knock on the door. Would the resident invite him in to sit by the fire and have a bowl of soup? Or would he be rejected? Would the people in the cottage call the cops? Or would they welcome him? What to do, what to do?

Well, the teacher's jaw just dropped. She pulled the picture away and said, "OK. I guess we're done now." I passed and was placed in the "Advanced Class".

Today's Hebrew Letter is "Daleth" which sounds like the English Letter "D".The Original Daleth in Proto-Hebrew looked like a Triangle, and is preserved for us in the Greek Form of "Delta". It is theorized that King David took the two Daleths in his personal name, flipped one over, and superimposed them on top of each other for the crest upon his shield, Hence, the "Mogan David", the Famous "Star" or "Shield of David"! Some Sages think the Original Daleth represented a Door or Gate. This gives it Messianic Significance to those of us familiar with the teachings of Jesus of Nazareth. There are also Rabbis who speak of Daleth as meaning "Sufficiency" and "Provision", and being the root of such words as "EL SHADDAI" (One of the Oldest Names of the All-Sufficient God), "dai" meaning nursing breast, and last but not least, "DAYENU", the title of a Popular Passover Song Which Means, "It Is Sufficient!"

The road is not always easy, and sometimes we get discouraged. This is not unique to our generation, and even the Psalmist acknowledges that this happens. The Stanza of Psalm 119 called "Daleth" addresses this.

"Daleth" is a Door. Jesus called Himself "The Door". He also said "I stand at the door and knock" (The door of our heart, perhaps?). These sayings of Jesus make so much more sense in light of Ancient Scriptures. You can go through the door and know you won't be turned away.
