Citing Josephus is a little strange. He recorded all kinds of details about the life of Herod, but makes no mention whatsoever of the massacre. One would expect that to be mentioned.

I don't want to turn your wonderful post into a freak show, but orbs in photos like that in your posted pic of the Church are considered to be a sign of ghosts and spirits etc. Truthfully, I consider such talk nonsense but it's happened to me a few times and I had people around me corroborating what I was seeing. Thus I'm not sold on the idea but then again...

To guard against such freakishness, I've pinged the wisest and sharpest minds on FR when it comes to this sort of thing. I'm sure there is a rational answer and they can provide it.
