We often hear that evangelical support for President Trump is hurting our witness here in America. Is it hurting our witness overseas as well?
In a follow-up to Christianity Today’s editorial by Mark Galli calling for the removal of President Trump, CT president Timothy Dalrymple noted, “We are also a global ministry” and “partly on behalf of that global body, we can no longer stay silent.” Is it true, then, that American evangelical support for Trump is hurting our international witness?

This is part of the new narrative that is getting astroturfed across the media complex. I pity the fool that believes it, but they have run out of options and the trickery is going to ramp up.
You should point this fact out to anyone questioning evangelical support for Mr. Trump. And watch their reaction. The secular left and Christians like Mayor Pete will wet their pants. And thus, we see how the argument is insincere.

This Italian Catholic is here to tell anyone that has a problem with Evangelicals that they can meet the thick side of a Louisville slugger from me.
The only reason a REAL Christian had/has a chance of winning the US presidency is because of Evangelicals.
Their votes this past election helped DIRECTLY save THOUSANDS and possibly TENS OF THOUSANDS of deaths..of Christians AND muslims at the hands of ISIS.
We should all be thankful that their overwhelming votes in favor of Trump are bringing this nation slowly but surely back to its roots.
Who cares what the world thinks? Last I checked they weren’t voting for president of the world.

If people crave worldly approval from the secular elite, criticizing Trump is an easy way to get it.
That is all that is going on here.
BTW the article is reasonable and not one sided in favour of CT.
The author makes the point that evangelical support for right to life and against the gay agenda is a bigger barrier to evangelism than Trump. The author is not prepared to compromise on that.
The author makes the point that Christians preach Christ, not some secular political leader.
