ROME, December 19, 2019 (LifeSiteNews) — In what many see as an effort to normalize homosexuality in the Catholic Church, the Vatican has released a new book that reduces the “sin of Sodom” (Genesis 19:1–29) to “a lack of hospitality.”
“The story about the city of Sodom … illustrates a sin that consists in the lack of hospitality, with hostility and violence towards the stranger, a behavior judged to be very serious and therefore deserving to be sanctioned with the utmost severity,” the new book asserts.
Sources consulted by LifeSite described the book as “utter banality” and “obviously ridiculous.” One theologian exclaimed, “Thank God this stuff isn’t magisterial.”
The new volume, titled What Is Man? An Itinerary of Biblical Anthropology (Che cosa è l’uomo? Un itinerario di antropologia biblica), was released on December 16 by the Pontifical Biblical Commission (PBC) and endeavors to examine the scriptural understanding of the human person. Jesuit Father Pietro Bovati, secretary for the Pontifical Biblical Commission, said the work was carried out at the express wish of Pope Francis.
With a preface by Cardinal Luis Ladaria, S.J., prefect of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith and president of the Pontifical Biblical Commission, the volume is composed of four chapters: The human being created by God (ch. 1); The human being in the garden (ch. 2); The human family (ch. 3); and the human being in history (ch. 4).
Its 10-page treatment of homosexuality comes in chapter three, in a section entitled “transgressive ways” that also includes incest, adultery, and prostitution.

Reads like parody. No way was the sin “lack of hospitality.” Though I guess one could call wanting to rape angels lack of “hospitality” on Planet Vatican given their propensity for abuse of boys.
The sin was buggery ... and the straw that broke the camel’s back was the demand to bugger Lot’s guests.

Pretty sure that theory has been debunked quite often. But yeah demanding you be allowed to rape a households members and guest is inhospitable.
Not a new argument. Pretty sure the first time I heard it was about thirty or so years ago.

A simple reading of the text shows what was going there. Just for fun, I checked a number of translations of that text, including a Jewish one, and they all said the same thing. How did the erudite theologians of the Vatican miss it?
Is there no end to the false doctrine emanating from the Vatican?
Why didn’t Satan think of that? Oh wait, he did. The Vatican is now Satan-occupied territory.

Jude 1:7 always wondered what was meant “Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire. ”
The homo’s targeted the Catholic Priesthood beginning in the 1960’s. The doped up Free Love generation despised Catholic morality and the radicals of the day plotted a stealth campaign of infiltration.
But, the Catholic Church was not their only target. The US Gov’t was targeted, the BSA and GSA was targeted. Public school at every grade level was targeted.
How did they succeed in devising and implementing such a wide ranging plan? It was easy.
They recognized the complacency of the vast majority of Americans. They recognized our just leave me alone. I don’t care about those people. Just as long as they don’t bother me.
Sixty years later we are where we are because we just wanted to be left alone. And, when groups did pop up and try to raise the alarm they were ridiculed and, the just leave me alone crowd joined the ridicule.
And, it will get worse because too many people just don’t care to get involved.
The homo’s are now at the highest level in the Catholic Church. They have selected their Pope and are getting the results they’ve plotted for 60 years.
One thing that radicals and subversives all seem to have in common is they play the Long Game. Most of the rest of us do not.
The Bible preaches Vigilance. Again and again. Throughout the Old and New Testaments. And, we Christians and Jews NEVER seem to get that message.
