Remember that the Church that Christ founded, the Catholic Church, came before the Bible.
All other churches were founded by mere men.
Catholic means “universal”. So yeah, we are all “catholics”. :)
And Scripture came before the NT church (and even longer before the RCC) began upon its doctrinal and prophetic foundation.
In addition, if being the instruments, discerners and stewards of Holy Writ means that such are the perpetually infallible authorities on it, then you have invalidated the NT church, and much more Catholicism.
All other churches were founded by mere men.
And so you have yours, for while a church can be founded/planted by men (as Paul did), no true church is founded upon man, but upon Scriptural faith, which Catholicism is critically contrary to, and is the most manifest deformation of the NT church . Whose distinctive Catholic teachings are not manifest in the only wholly inspired substantive authoritative record of what the NT church believed (which is Scripture, especially Acts thru Revelation. and which best shows how the NT church understood the OT and gospels).
Remember that the Church that Christ founded, the Catholic Church, came before the Bible.
........
New day, same error in your post salvation.
2/3 of Scripture was written before Christs incarnation.
All other churches were founded by mere men.
.....
Second, repeated error.
All churches comprised of true believers are directly from Christ, without 1500 years of syncretic paganism mixed in.
All churches, regardless of when they began, that become worldly institutions, having abandoned the Gospel of Christ, are no longer His.
Just read the opening chapters of Revelation and you will see their removal. They still hold services, but they are no longer His churches.
Remember that the Protestants, that found the Catholic Church doing SO much wrong, came AFTER the Bible was available to the masses to read.
Christ did a mighty POOR job with them seven churches in Asia the John was told, by an angel, to write to.
So much for 'Catholic' purity!
