According to
U.S. Customs and Border Protection statistics, 90 percent of heroin seized along the border, 88 percent of cocaine, 87 percent of methamphetamine, and 80 percent of fentanyl in the first 11 months of the 2018 fiscal year was caught trying to be smuggled in from Mexico, Gomez's birthplace.

He’s a shepherd of Latinos, apparently, not Catholics, or even Christians.
I’d say that’s an issue.

He said he witnessed firsthand the “suffering of the people there “ during his visits to south Texas last year. Gomez calls his new position “a blessing for the Latino people.”
And then Promptly Turned his Back on them and began demanding everyone else take care of them. Why doesn’t the Cardinal PRACTICE WHAT HE PREACHES and go down to Mexico and OPEN up a New Church to take of these poor people with HIS OWN MONEY?

Before we trash Archbishop Gomez too much, keep in mind that he is the Archbishop of the largest US Catholic diocese -- and Pope Francis has not seen fit to make him a Cardinal yet.
Think about what that means...

the Church recognizes that all goods of the earth belong to all people.”
That’s not my understanding. I was under the assumption that all things belong to God and we are his stewards. What’s going on with Catholicism?

Why not? The USCCB has bragged on their web site for years that they have been working for socialism for a century.

A blessing for Latino people? What does that mean? Is he only a shepherd for Latinos or for all Catholics? Is it a blessing for Catholics? I don’t understand. And finally, is it really a blessing for Latino people?

He’s not “hispanic”, he’s a Mexican.
First, last and forever.
The SOB can’t stand the success of the Protestant creation known as “the United States”.
So he has to try to take it down or at least dominate it.
He calls himself an “American” but has no history with us, he’s not part of our nation.
Just the latest lowbrow attempt by the decrepit remnants of the Spanish Empire to bring down the Anglos.
The fact that the Catholic leadership thought it was a good idea to put this Papal seditionist at their head tells us all we need to know about them: they hate the U.S., the Americans, and they want to see it and them destroyed.

The men were trying to present to Abp. Gomez a copy of a petition to remove retired Cdl. Roger Mahony, his predecessor in the Los Angeles archdiocese. The petition, launched last year, has garnered more than 7,000 signatures. It calls for Cdl. Mahony to be condemned by Church leaders, punished by the Vatican and investigated by law enforcement for covering up sexually abusive clergy. While Cdl. Mahony was officially relieved of many public duties in 2013 owing to his legacy of clerical sex abuse cover-ups, he remains embedded in the Los Angeles archdiocese. For instance, he is slated to speak at this year's LA Religious Education Conference. A short video of the encounter was shared by Clean the Church. In the video, things turn south after someone mentions the name of disgraced former cardinal Theodore McCarrick (recently laicized). A security guard intervenes, saying, "No talking about that, I'm sorry." Security officers quickly turned against Norris and Bro. Christopher, widening the space between them and the archbishop. It is unclear whether this was due to the mention of McCarrick's name or the fact that they were being videotaped. . .":
