Sad to say, but Joseph Smith and Muhammad had a lot in common. Both were heretical christians who received revelation from strange angels. Both suffered from supposed demon possession, seizures, foaming at the mouth, etc. Both men would snap out of their possessed state and begin dictating/writing their single source documents. Both made hundreds of false prophesies and statements like, Satan lives in your nose, or their are quakers on the moon and sun. Their god told both men to kill all their enemies. Both groups would rid caravans taking booty, killing all men, and placing all women in their harems. The list goes on...

I recall a story from Saudi Arabia. A reformist Imam was invited to a traditional Imam’s house. When he arrived the traditional Imam shot him dead. This was ruled legal because Islam can not be reformed. The penalty for doing so is death. It can be administered by anyone who feels he is righteous and correct in his beliefs. (In practice, to get away with this you have to have more followers than the other guy and they have to be more militant. However, if it’s not Imam to Imam any Muslim can kill any nonMuslim for a variety of reasons and this too is “legal” per Sharia.)

An example of Sharia law in practice is honor killings.

These nominally Christian leaders trying to make nice with Muslims are not serving their followers but are being duped by the Muslim leader.

Even a cursory delve into the history of Islam will inform the reader that there is no making nice with Islam.

Islam exist solely to be the one world religion. Islam does not willing coexist with other religions. It will sit back and build its numbers until it has sufficient numbers to intimidate the other more numerous but peaceful religious community.

Britain, France and Germany can all attest to this fact if they had the political will to do so.
