I never thought I would refer to a Pope as a fool, but it has come to that. If in so doing my fellow Catholics condemn me as somehow blaspheming against the Mother Church or God, so be it. But after reading Francis X. Rocca's article in the September 11 edition of the Wall Street Journal, which has the pontiff saying that it would be "an honor that [conservative Catholic] Americans attack me," for not standing up for traditional Catholic teachings on marriage, sexuality and bioethics, while instead opining on climate change and migration, I can't hold my tongue.

Pope Francis has done more to divide the Catholic Church than anyone else. YES!! I am Catholic, Old enough to remember Pope John the 23rd, Pope Paul the Sixth and Both Popes John Paul’s I and II. Pope Francis is completely the opposite and IMOHO an anti-Pope. Telling us that we must kowtow to the UN and follow them instead of our Country’s leader and be part of the One World Government!!

Ironic, is it not, that the Pope has as little knowledge of his own religion as he does of science. There were times when Jesuits were pretty good masters of both. (LeMaitre comes to mind.)

What you wrote is no more a contradiction than what I wrote above. Is it necessarily true? No, but it's not inherently false, either.
Besides, the Pope is a sinner, too. Fraternal correction, offered in charity, is sometimes our positive duty.
