The CCP requires medical staff to register the evidence of patients’ religious belief in databases that the state uses to control every aspect of people’s lives.
Last October, a pregnant woman from the eastern province of Shandong was rushed to the hospital because of heavy bleeding. The doctor’s prognosis was that the woman was in imminent danger, and she needed surgery immediately.
A nurse was sent in to take the woman’s personal information. To the family’s dismay, the nurse was more interested in the woman’s religious beliefs rather than her health.
“She’s in so much pain. Why are you asking her these questions?” a family member was distraught. The nurse replied that the government requires to collect information about each patient, including their religious status, to be entered into their medical records. She added that not asking about faith isn’t an option.
Even though her life was hanging in the balance, the pregnant woman was asked twice about her religious status before she was taken to surgery.
Residents in Hebei, Heilongjiang, Shandong, Henan, and other provinces have also reported to Bitter Winter having been questioned by hospital staff about their religious beliefs before seeing a doctor. Some residents said that similar incidents occurred as early as 2017.
Belief in God could affect treatment
Bitter Winter has interviewed several medical workers about their experience with collecting information about patients’ religious status. All of them said that the government had imposed this requirement, but none could understand the real intentions for this.

A rule that was given to your local V.A. hospital, was that upon admittance into a hospital ward, every V.A. patient must have a “spiritual assessment”.

It’s hard for me to think of anything unique China does in abusing it’s people. The only difference is in degree.
Our doctors ask invasive non-medical questions, theirs ask REALLY invasive non-medical questions.
They have social credit scores from the government, but our social credit score has been privatized into google and facebook. And a low one can close your website, deplatform you, demonetize you, etc.
They have universal domestic spying, so do we. Religion is suppressed there by government, and it is here but to a lesser degree.
The structure is here for us to become as bad as them.
It wouldn’t take new structures, it would only take someone like Booker, AOC, Bernie or Kamala, to turn up the heat.
Dangerous times.

China is big into black market organ harvesting, religious Falun Gong are especially targeted for harvests, due to the overall good and pure lifestyle, their organs drive top dollar. I hear, too, they’re harvesting Muslims in their re-education camps. Atheists have no morals, only ethics, and their ethics are whatever is popular at any given time.

We had this overweight nurse during a well checkup for our daughter ask a litany of asinine questions including if there were firearms in our house. I politely said we do not have to answer that. Good thing we were in the room. One day if the left gets their total power,the nurse will have ALL of the information already.
I can imagine this quickly evolving into underground medical care. Of course it would need lots of safeguards, and to obtain pharma via black market collectives.
While it couldn’t do everything, it would do enough so as to put pressure on the official medical system.
And as with other authoritarian systems, monkey-wrenching is in order. For example sneaking into the system that high party officials are practitioners of Falun Gong.
