Yore: Pope Francis Goes Silent on Hong Kong Protests as Christians Take Major Role

“One who mounts a tiger can never get off.” ~ Chinese Proverb

Hagan Lío.” “Take to the streets.” “Make a Mess.”

Pope Francis famously bellowedHagan Lio” to the 300,000 young Catholics gathered at World Youth Day in Rio de Janeiro on July 26, 2013, urging them to shake up the complacency of their lives.

Sounding more like the socialist community organizer Saul Alinsky than the Vicar of Christ, Francis prodded young Catholics to take to the streets and shake up the establishment. He challenged that the young people, “must go out, they must show their worth. Young people must go out to fight for values, to fight for values.”

Where is his “Hagan Lio” shout out to the young people of Hong Kong?

The young of Hong Kong stand together, but without the supportive voice of the Vicar of Christ.

As the ancient Chinese proverb warns, Pope Francis mounted the red communist tiger.

He will never get off.

The Catholic Church has never cared for democracies or republics. The Church was all for the ‘divine right of kings’ for over a millennium so don’t look to it for a natural ally in the fight for freedom.

<< Argentine friend and close Vatican collaborator, Bishop Sanchez Sorondo, of the Pontifical Academy of Social Sciences lavishly made the jaw-dropping observation “that the government best implementing the social doctrine of the Church would be the People’s Republic of China.” >>

Christian ? I don’t know about that but he’s about as Deep State as Deep State gets. I see Francis as leading the way to global Marxism for millions of his acolytes. I see him as an anti Christ JMHO

That’s simply incorrect, friend. The divine right of kings emerged out of the Protestant reformation and the rise of the nation state. It was mainly advanced in England to hold that the King was supreme over all earthly authority, including the Church. That rights came from the king and not God. Prior to this distortion of the biblical exhortation to obey lawful authority, the Church held that a King was subject that the laws of God to rule wisely and justly.

You are totally wrong. The Catholic Church closely aligned with autocraticrulers from the get-go and supported authoritarian power structures. Emperor Constantine in the fourth century essentially codified the Bible for Christ’s sake.

Pope Francis remained neutral as the Republic of Ireland voted overwhelmingly to legalize abortion.

He remained silent as Italy voted approval of homo “marriages”.

There are different sorts of silences.

Still, in most cases bad silences are better than speaking up on behalf of evil.
