In a wide-ranging interview published by the Italian daily La Stampa Friday, Pope Francis said that the upcoming Vatican synod of bishops on the Amazon region will focus heavily on environmental issues.
Asked why he convoked the synod, Francis said it is a “child” of his 2015 encyclical Laudato Si on care for creation. “Those who have not read it will never understand the Synod on the Amazon. Laudato Sì is not a green encyclical, it is a social encyclical, which is based on a ‘green’ reality, the custody of Creation.”

Whats sad is that he cant even express it in terms of Catholicism. He makes a loose connection with “custody of Creation” but his main thrust is “biodiversity” and not “assisting God’s creation” - he couches the language in humanism.
Worse, he intentionally or stupidly ignores that the “loss of biodiversity” is so the people of this world can be housed and fed - or has he now suddenly forgotten the refugees he defended yesterday to throw them under the bus for destroying “biodiversity” just so some stupid humans can eat, which he then further disparages as evil greed.
The guy, like all leftists, is an idiot, not of or for God and seeks the destruction of God’s creation and people to further his own personal lusts.
