Hinn has always been an utter charlatan.
The book traces Benny Hinns desire for prosperity to his childhood ambition to prove his father who did not expect much from him in life wrong...
That’s one way to motivate a kid.
Hell my father told me he expected me to go far.... :)
From Matthew 7
21 Not everyone who says to Me, Lord, Lord, shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. 22 Many will say to Me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name? 23 And then I will declare to them, I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!
I always thought of this when watching Hinn perform his “miracles”.
ya think?
“...peddling the prosperity gospel to hapless adherents while living in the lap of luxury.”
I think peddling the prosperity gospel is the lesser of his crimes.
The fake faith healing is worse.
And I don’t think “living in the lap of luxury” is relevant. He’d be just as bad if he lived a vow of poverty.
Thinking about it, to me, if he really was healing all these people he pretends to heal, he’d deserve to live in the greatest luxury there is.
But he’s not, he’s a fake.
They are lying.
There is no such thing as a prosperity “gospel”.
That totally is an insult to the actual Good News, the only actual “Gospel” in the bible.
In fact Christ tells His followers look what the world did to me, they very well may do it to you as well.
No believer is guaranteed material prosperity. We exist in and across all social and economic stratas.
He aint tge only charlaran doing this.
Copeland, Joyce Meyers, the younger guy down in texas megachurch guy, they warp together the unbiblical word-faith prosperity gospel beliefs.
What kind of father would say that to his own son?
Now he will make a fortune selling books.
A fool and his money are soon parted and the fools who followed hinn and gave him their money once again proved this point.

I ad a boss that was sketchy on payday. We never knew if Fri was going to be payday like it should or if he was going to come in and give us each $100 to get through the weekend and give us the rest Mon, Tues etc. One week he was a no show so my buddy and I who road together headed out. Then we saw him drive by so we followed him. He went to Benny Hinn’s Orlando Christian Center to pick up his kids from school there. I don’t know how much the private school cost.
Didn’t last much longer at that job.
Was hoping to read something about Benny Hill this beautiful Sunday morning - much more entertaining...
I wonder how they threatened Costi’s wife....

Years ago my Parents lived next door to one of Benny Hinns Bodyguards.
I met the guy and his Family.
He told me Benny Hinn was the real deal. He said he had seen many things that convinced him of it over the years he spent traveling with him.
I made a point not to roll my eyes while he was telling me all this.
I knew Benny personally in his very early days (I was a member of his father-in-law’s Church). He was actually a good guy, but I’m afraid that the prosperity gospel went to his head. I have no issues (mostly) with some prosperity teaching, but people like him make it the dominant part of their message. That is NOT what the Gospel is about!
Blow Job Benny
