I remember telling a Catholic friend of mine that Mary was just a means for the Word to enter our realm; she was the door by which the Word entered and became flesh. It’s like you worship the door a relative who’ve you’ve not seen entered into the house.

Although the door choose to open, by God's grace, He both motivating and enabling her to says "Let it be done to me according to Thy word."

Not so. There is even more about Mary in the OT than there is in the NT. The events and prophets of the OT refer to her in types and prophecies, just as they refer to her Son.

Amen! But you know, this bickering back and forth gets nobody anywhere. Only the Holy Spirit is going to be able to get the Catholic (or anyone else) to see the light. They gloss over every Scripture that shows Jesus to be the only way to the Father, and use some obscure solitary Scripture to try to prove Mary is more than she is. It wasn’t always Catholic doctrine that there was a co-redemptor. The whole idea that Mary is the immaculate conception is blasphemous, and the absurd notion that she is the Bride of Christ, when the Bible teaches that we, as believers, are his Bride, is all but schizophrenic. Ah, well, “pray he one for another” .

The doctrine on the Immaculate Conception does not depend on the pronoun “she” for proof. The pronoun refers to her [Eve’s] seed.
