What is Anti-Semitism

More and more each day I keep reading and hearing about Antisemitism and wanted to start a conversation about it as it is a historical marker for bad times coming. Over and over throughout history, when Antisemitism is on the rise, world calamity is on the rise. I wanted to talk to people to remind them of what they are supposed to already know but seem to forget periodically. I’m talking from a Protestant Christian, Bible believing point of view. It’s very important that we can agree that the Bible is the Word of God and the Plan God has for the world. If we don’t agree on that, you can just make up whatever “facts” you want to make your case.

First of all, let’s look at where Israel comes from. Abraham was a pagan that was called out of his home country of Chaldea to follow God’s leading. Chaldea is a place associated in the Bible with demonic activity, so we are all called out of a demon led life to follow God just as Abraham was. Abraham lost faith in the promises of God for a child, so he went into his wife’s slave to have a child of unbelief. Ishmael was a son to Abraham but it wasn’t the son promised by God. Ishmael was sent out by God and Isaac was born, the “love child of promise”.

What we start to see here is “election” by God. Ishmael was not selected but Isaac was chosen before he was even born. Isaac was married to Rebekah and a study of this marriage is a picture of the marriage of the Church to Christ. Father sent the Holy Spirit Servant to his Home country to a family member to pick a wife for the Father’s Son. Notice The Servant had to pick from Abraham’s family in his home country. It is very important to in God’s family to marry the Son. Then Esau and Jacob were born. They were fighting in the womb and would never get along in the world. God said Jacob I have loved and Esau I have hated. Once again God “elected” Jacob as His man and rejected Esau. God renamed Jacob “Israel” and blessed him. From now on, all children of Jacob would be Jews, the “chosen” people of God.

These facts seem to have upset the whole world that Israel was chosen for God’s people. The trick for people that want to be included into the Family of God is to join the family, not to fight them.

How do we join in the Family God loves? Well, Jacob had 12 sons and they had wives and sons, but Joseph was special to Jacob because he came from the woman he loved the most. Joseph’s brothers hated Joseph for that and sold him into slavery and told dad he was dead. Joseph story is a “type” for Jesus’ life. Joseph ended up 2nd in power in Egypt, but most important for us, he married a Gentile wife and had at least 2 children by her. Why was this so important to the world? As Jacob was dying, he prophesied over each of his children what their futures would contain. Before he got started, Jacob adopted Joseph’s sons as his own sons! He crossed his hands to bless them telling us that the cross would be the blessing that would get “us Gentiles” adopted into the family of God. Here again comes trouble from the world’s interpretation of Scripture. Christians must understand that we have been adopted into Israel, not that we have replaced the original family of God. God has made all of His covenants with the Jews, but has made available these same covenants through the Jews! Anyone can participate as long as they are adopted as Joseph’s Gentile children into the family.

For an Anti-Semite, they have been convinced that Israel has been kicked out of the Family of God and the church has replaced them. That is the lie from the pit of Hell! We see all through Scripture that Jews were punished by God, but He always came to rescue them because they are His people. Hosea is a picture of a marriage between Israel and God, BUT SHE LEFT HIM! Hosea ended up going to buy her again off the slave block. Israel “married” God when they agreed to do everything God told them to do on Mt. Sinai. The Law was presented to them and they said they would do everything God said. Of course, they were worshiping a golden calf before Moses even got off the mountain, but God stayed with them, as He would throughout Scripture all the way to Revelation.

The point here is God has made covenant with His people and God doesn’t break covenant. If God could break covenant, then why would he not break covenant with Gentile believers? All through Scripture, when people come against the people of God, God rescues them. There are many examples, but let’s just look at Ester. Haman was a descendant of an Agagite. Knowing the genealogies of the Old Testament is always helpful to follow why certain things happened. Let’s just say the Agagite’s were related to the tribe that Saul was told to kill everything with breath, women, children, dogs, cats, horses, anything that breathed, and Saul failed to do it. Needless to say God hated this line of people that was produced back in Genesis 6. If Saul had killed the king he was told to kill, there would not have been a “Haman” in the book of Ester. What is it about Haman that made him want to kill ALL of the Jews? This Antisemitism got him killed as he plotted against God’s people.

Another story is the story of the Maccabees. Antiochus Epiphanies was a despotic ruler and a type of Antichrist that defiled the Temple and tried to kill all of the Jews or make them worship his gods. The most powerful army in the world at the time was beaten back by a rag tag bunch of rebels to take Israel back for themselves.

IMO, Hitler had the same designs on God’s people and was destined to be beaten by God’s Hand. Israel has been here since Genesis and will be there in Revelation. Scripture shows this. The final battle will be a 200 million man army in the valley of Midego facing a remnant of Israel and Jesus will wade through them like a sword through butter. The result will be 184 miles of blood 6ft. deep. The Jews have not been replaced by the church. In fact The church will be Raptured out of harm’s way before God starts cutting seals. IMO, the spirit of Antichrist, Jesus mentioned that was already in the land, is equal to the spirit of Antisemitism. Jew hatred just means you hate God’s family. You cannot be a Christian and be Anti-Semitic as you would hate God’s people and therefore hate God. If you decide to go against God’s people, you will eventually come against God. I see Christians today that feel like the Palestinians deserve to take Israel away from Jews. Really? Since Abraham was promised the land in Genesis 12 the land has always belonged to Israel. I don’t see God asking anyone their opinion of what seems fair to an earth dweller. The Land belongs to God and His people. All others will be thrown out. Even the final 1000 years will be God living with His people in Israel and He will have His throne there. Being Anti-Semite is no different than being Antichrist. When Joseph met his brothers again in Egypt, he forgave them and loved them. The Jews are God’s people and we have no say in what He does with them. We as Gentiles, however, are fortunate to be able to join the Family of God and have an equal inheritance with the Sons of Israel. If you come against God’s people, eventually you will come against God. That is always a loser. If you or your church teach that Israel has been replaced by the church, you are sitting under error and are in danger of the wrath of God. A Gentile's role in the plan of God is to be adopted into the family, not fight it. God has made a way into the family called Jesus. If you hate Jews, you hate Jesus. If you belong to Jesus, you have been given the right to become Sons and Daughters of God. Don't hate your brothers.

I kinda felt the same way he feels. No matter what you try to get across as your message, someone will come back and say Jesus is the only way!

Well, every one does have to come through Jesus, any Christian will agree, but that's not what I'm talking about. The Jews are still God's people and He will defend them in the end.

What happened was when Constantine took over the church Of Jesus Christ, Antisemitism was injected all through the Roman church. Sunday was injected over the Sabbath, Pagan holidays were substituted for Biblical Feast days, and laws were changed to cut the Jews out. Even 3rd John 9 speaks of John griping about some Greek not allowing Jews that actually walked and talked with Jesus to speak in their church. Being God's people doesn't mean they will all get salvation. What I'm saying is Israel is still the apple of God's eye and He will defend them. All of world history revolves around how we treat Israel. The Goat Nations will be the ones that treated Israel poorly. Notice there was nothing about individual salvation mentioned. But if you live in a goat nation, you and your children can suffer with the rest of the country. There are Christians living in Iran, but would you want to live in Iran? When they cut your son's head off, he will go to Heaven if he is truly a Christian, but I don't know of anyone that would desire that. It's how Iran treats Israel that they will be judged. My point here today was to raise an alarm about the rise of Antisemitism here in the US and increasingly in the world. If Our government falls into the hands of the AOC and Bernie Sanders types, your personal relationship with Jesus won't matter when they start to murder your family and take all your property.

It's sorta like saying Bro Billy was finally healed when he died of cancer and went to Heaven. Salvation and a blessed life on earth are two different things.

That was a point I tried to make early on. Shem was blessed, but Ham was cursed through Canaan. The Canaanites were cursed in the Promised Land. All of the Canaanites, Jebusites, and all of the other “ites” are dead and the Hebrews are still here and will be here until the final battle. Abraham was elected, for reasons only God knows. Abraham loved Sarah so Issac was elected and blessed by God. Ishmael was NOT elected, but tossed out. Issac had twins from the same mother, but God elected Jacob and cursed Esau. Esau hated Jacob through the generations. God blesses His people and curses whom He chooses. I’m just saying that Jacob(Israel) has been blessed. Don’t be against them or you are confronting God. Gentiles have been grafted in through the adoption of Joseph’s gentile children. There is a Spiritual picture here that people with eyes to see can see. If you look with carnal eyes, you are blind to God who is Spirit.
