All sin boils down to some form of either pride or lust.

most sins stem from coveting- which can include coveting even things like power- recognition, respect- etc- anything that drives a person- coveting is a serious problem- we want something and nothing will stop us from achieving it- We want what we want when we want it- even when God says no
