The problem, per se, with looking to HIM for the answers, is with human error.

The Catholic church has nothing up on anyone in that department.

Find me fifty Catholics who agree lockstep with ALL of Rome's teachings, is they can even figure out Rome's position on anything.

Christians do not need to have someone baby them. We recognize that each one of us is individually accountable to only Christ at the very end of things.

We don't need anyone to do our thinking for us.

Well, go ahead, then.

Support your homosexual infused pedo producing religion that claims it’s doing the work of God.

That begs the question.

What god?

This is in the Bible.

Matthew 23:1-12 Then Jesus said to the crowds and to his disciples, “The scribes and the Pharisees sit on Moses' seat, so do and observe whatever they tell you, but not the works they do. For they preach, but do not practice.

They tie up heavy burdens, hard to bear, and lay them on people's shoulders, but they themselves are not willing to move them with their finger. They do all their deeds to be seen by others. For they make their phylacteries broad and their fringes long, and they love the place of honor at feasts and the best seats in the synagogues and greetings in the marketplaces and being called rabbi by others.

But you are not to be called rabbi, for you have one teacher, and you are all brothers. And call no man your father on earth, for you have one Father, who is in heaven. Neither be called instructors, for you have one instructor, the Christ. The greatest among you shall be your servant. Whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted.

You should try reading the Bible some time.

Then you'd know what is and is not in it.

Jesus said to call no man father.

What Catholics do, as a knee jerk reaction, instead of correcting their behavior, is try to justify their sin by pointing out where they think others have done it and then saying since everyone else is doing it, we can too.

The Holy Spirit did not include instances of sin in Scripture for use to justify more sin. Just because David committed adultery doesn't mean it's OK for the rest of us to.

Just because Samson and Lot lived pretty raunchy lives doesn't mean it's OK for us to, as well.

Instances of sin in Scripture are not recorded as examples for us to follow.

When you stand before the Judgment Seat of Christ (or God) and He asks why you disobeyed, do you think telling Him *Well, everyone else did it, too* is going to fly?

Jesus Christ never denied anyone sitting at the table.

  • I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.
  • So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.

Revelation, Catholic chapter three, Protestant verses fifteen to sixteen,
as authorized, but not authored, by King James

It was not until there were churches in Samaria that were part of the one holy catholic and apostolic Church that they had rest.

Acts 17:11 English Standard Version (ESV)

11 Now these Jews were more noble than those in Thessalonica; they received the word with all eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily to see if these things were so.

Acts 17:11 Roman Teachung (RT)

11 Now these Jews were more traditional than those in Samaria; for they received the word with a wafer and wine, listening to the Early Church Fathers to find out what GOD really meant.

I’m glad to see you are back from a busy day of pranking folks.

I; too; had a busy day here at the home; but still found time to post on FR.

My old Sola Scriptura scarred brain was really addled for most of the day; as I was trying to figure what pertinent scripture to post to you upon your return.

Should it be Proverbs 26:4 or Proverbs 26:5?

I guess it just Depends...

...it's time to move on to doing something else with my time, of more value, at least for a while. You can declare victory all you want...

I see where you are going with this.

...was that the Scriptures are NOT in contradiction to the teachings of the Church...

Isaiah 42:8
I am the Lord: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.

You make Mary cry...

Oooh sonny!!

You really need to calm down a bit; perhaps even use one of these:

I suspect your cranial pressure is increasing WAY above the design that GOD created.

Think peaceful thoughts, fuzzy kitties, warm spas: you get the idea.

Your unconcern over what we Prots believe is starting to affect you negatively; I'm afraid.

And you seem to be getting quite angry that you’re failing to so so.

Thanks for confirming.

I was beginning to think that I might be a bit delusional.

And this was a heavenly message; delivered by an angel; written by John; and delivered to a CATHOLIC church.

This morning in Spurgeon’s devotion...

“God’saltar was to be built of unhewn stones, that no trace of human skill or labour might be seen upon it.

“Human wisdom delights to trim and arrange the doctrines of the cross into a system more artificial and more congenial with the depraved tastes of fallen nature; instead, however, of improving the gospel, carnal wisdom pollutes it, until it becomes another gospel, and not the truth of God at all. “

“All alterations and amendments of the Lord’s own Word are defilements and pollutions. The proud heart of man is very anxious to have a hand in the justification of the soul before God; preparations for Christ are dreamed of, humblings and repentings are trusted in, good works are cried up, natural ability is much vaunted, and by all means the attempt is made to lift up human tools upon the divine altar.”

“It were well if sinners would remember that so far from perfecting the Saviour’s work, their carnal confidences only pollute and dishonour it. The Lord alone must be exalted in the work of atonement, and not a single mark of man’s chisel or hammer will be endured.”

“There is an inherent blasphemy in seeking to add to what Christ Jesus in His dying moments declared to be finished, or to improve that in which the Lord Jehovah finds perfect satisfaction. Trembling sinner, away with thy tools, and fall upon thy knees in humble supplication; and accept the Lord Jesus to be the altar of thine atonement, and rest in Him alone.”

Yes, I am aware of that verse.

But I still said to be specific, because the Pharisees were also of the Jews, and you weren’t gonna get salvation from them.
