PRAYER:
Almighty God of goodness, justice, and mercy, we are truly grateful that Your Spirit has revealed the only truth on this earth giving freedom through the knowledge and faith in Christ. As Martin Lutehr King Jr., shared ““The God whom we worship is not a weak and incompetent God. He is able to beat back gigantic waves of opposition and to bring low prodigious mountains of evil. The ringing testimony of the Christian faith is that God is able.”
In the midst of evil that is even now threatening our nation, we continue to ask for your intervention. We thank you for the victory of the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals that ruled Texas can strip taxpayer subsidies from Planned Parenthood, based on evidence in undercover videos of harvesting and selling aborted baby body parts for profit. Yet, we pray to bring clarity to prevent the New York Assembly that will vote Tuesday on this new evil Bill legalizing abortion up to birth.
Our country continues to face the danger from the “deep-state” domestic enemies that continue to sabotage our government. Stop those within our judicial and legislative branches that freely violate their oaths of office by serving their own personal political agendas. Re-create an ethical media with the focus to report truth rather than manufacture ‘fake’ news. We pray that you will continue to grant wisdom, strength and resolve for the President Trump and Vice President Pence to faithfully serve in the official roles you have placed them. Protect them and their families from all evil: physically, mentally and spiritually.
We continue to pray for the restoration of the rule of law and order in our country. For national security, allow a secure border wall be completed to protect our people while supporting the work of the Bureau of Immigration and Customs Enforcement [I.C.E.], military and all first responders that put themselves in harm’s way for our national security.

Hear our prayer that we might be one with each other sharing with your message to all the world of salvation given through Jesus Christ, who even now lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen

This came up twice today at two events that I attended.
Yet, we pray to bring clarity to prevent the New York Assembly that will vote Tuesday on this new evil Bill legalizing abortion up to birth.
Please include the Illinois General Assembly in your prayers. They will be having hearings this Wednesday on the legalization of partial birth abortion as well as repealing parental notification of abortion.
Draw close to the families of the those who killed in the outbreak of tornadoes in the southern states this evening. May there be an outpouring of support to help them heal and get their lives back in order.

I teach at Sanford Middle School in rural Lee County, Alabama. This tornado destroyed homes and lives of folks in the Beauregard community. Although there are numerous fatalities, we do not know yet if those affected are our students or members of their families.
Just learned a bit ago that our school is being opened as a shelter... Please offer up prayers for all impacted by this tragic event.
