Well, they got it half right. There "clerics themselves" must certainly shoulder much of the blame too.
Wait a minute??? Isn’t that like saying: “I have accepted a sin but I have not sinned, it’s only “the sin’s” fault???
But they are absolutely correct and it is about time some of the Catholic Churche’s officials bring it to light.
Only in today’s world of upside down moral degeneracy is stating the obvious controversial. The vast majority of the molestations are done by vile homosexuals preying on young boys. The Cardinals would do well to note that the Catholic clergy and hierarchy are permeated with homosexuals who have a death grip on the Church. They, by doing what they do and will always do, have destroyed the moral credibility of the Catholic Church. Yet “Pope” Francis continues to protect them and promote them. A great terrible moral reckoning is inevitable.
The cardinals never said that.

True homosexuality among the clergy is to blame, but those in the Church who embraced, pandered to and covered up for the homosexuality are also responsible. The devil also had a hand in the problem, but largely because his evil found such a good reception in the Church.

It is inherently sinful, since it violates natural law.
Heterosexual conduct may be sinful; homoerotic conduct must be sinful.
NB: There is no such thing as homosexuality; it is homoeroticism. Christians should disown the intrinsically deceitful word.
