Chris Pratt Responds to Ellen Page’s Accusation Of His “Anti-LGBTQ” Church
GODTV ^ | 02/12/2019

Chris Pratt is famously outspoken about his faith and like many Christians in the spotlight, he has had to endure criticism from both peers and press.

Recently Chris was a guest on Colbert and he and host Stephen Colbert – also a fellow believer – were chatting about the Daniel Fast Chris is doing with his church, Hillsong LA. It was a very safe, non-offensive discussion, centered around basically eating a vegan, paleo diet.

For some reason actress Ellen Page was triggered by this light-hearted discourse on legumes and sought to call Chris out on what was not being discussed but, in her opinion, should be: His church’s stance on LGBTQ issues.

Oh. K. Um. But his church is infamously anti lgbtq so maybe address that too? https://t.co/meg8m69FeF— Ellen Page (@EllenPage) February 8, 2019

Chris handled the situation with grace. Without offering apologies or taking Ellen’s bait to get into a heated debated over Twitter, Chris put this story up on his Instagram:

chris pratt

“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.” (Matt. 5:9)

Anyone remember when Pratt was this chubby kid on Parks and Recreation?

Just goes to show you what hard work and exercise can get you.

Why he isn't the new Indiana Jones is beyond me. Spitting image of Ford in his younger years.

Some things are potentially sinful; other things are inherently sinful.

Manifested heterosexuality is potentially sinful; manifested homoeroticism is inherently sinful.

There is no such thing as homosexuality (i.e., two persons of the same sex cannot naturally reproduce). It is intrinsically unnatural, and cannot be God pleasing.

Jesus said, Go and sin no more, not, Go and sin some more.

Denying people the truth of what is moral is not loving. It is niceness, not kindness, not charity (i.e., disinterested love).

Yes. It is one of those cliches that actually has merit.

I do not doubt Chris Pratt is sincere, but I also do not doubt that he is in error.

The Bible is quite clear, and so is Jesus. Christians are called to be a light, and to be the salt, not to echo whatever the world wants to hear.

Indulging homoerotic persons with their sinful fetish is not doing them any spiritual good.

We now have how many so-called genders? There is no end to the corruption of God’s natural design once these things are indulged. Nothing is ever enough to satisfy them, so why start?

“Go and sin no more” is pretty emphatic.

Unfortunately for Ellen Page, et al, God is ‘anti LGBTQ’.

I agree. Love is not a sin. That’s a tautology: if wrong or harmful acts are being performed, that’s not love. “Love does no wrong to a neighbor, therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.” A “relationship” is not a sin. We’re all in “relationships” with people of the same sex every day: parent-child, merchant-customer, co-committee-members, etc.

Immoral sexual behavior is sinful, regardless of the sex of the participants.

...Stephen Colbert – also a fellow believer...

Nope.

Fake News, most definitely.

Colbert worships at the Altar of Democratic Crap and distributes their dogma on a daily basis from his...um, program.

(It sure as hell ain't entertainment.)

The second law of homosexuality:
To the mentally healthy (heterosexual), sex is something you do.
To the mentally diseased ("homosexual"), sex is everything you are.

Sex is the single defining characteristic of the homosexual. Everything they see, hear, think or do is first put through the filter of their chosen perversion.

I still say, however, that if a man is romantically attracted to another man, or woman to woman, that somewhere, something has gone wrong.

I'm not contesting your statement, but what about a married man who is attracted to other women? Has something gone wrong that is different than with homosexuals?

Leftist just get angry when an attractive, charismatic celebrity takes an orthodox Christian position. They think that only THEY have the good looking people, and that biblical Christians are ugly knuckle draggers.

It’s quite normal for married men to be attracted to other women....that’s why vows to be faithful are taken.

Male/female attraction is normal. Male/male, female/female attraction is not normal.

No argument there. I’m just describing married men who act on their attraction to other women.
