Francis's Abortion Lullaby will Promote a even greater Abortion Holocaust
Pope Francis according to the Tablet advises women who have aborted their unborn babies to "sing them a lullaby."
(Tablet, "Pope offers new pastoral strategy on abortion by calling for consolation and reconciliation," January 28, 2019)
Francis's abortion lullaby of removing shame will promote a even greater abortion holocaust.
Why?
Philosopher Edward Feser explains:
[P]eople have gotten used to giving in to the temptation so quickly and so readily now that they're ready to kill the innocent, indeed their own flesh and blood - i.e. via abortion - in order more easily to keep giving in. Removing the shame associated with abortion is one reason... Catholics... will never make much headway on abortion until they start being willing to sound "mean..."
"... It will be interesting to hear the souls of the aborted babies ask "nice" Catholics... "So how'd that 'niceness' approach work out for you guys? Didn't work out so well for us, alas..."
(EdwardFeser.blogstop, "Canine theology," January 3, 2016, Comments: Edward Feser, January 4, 2016 at 11:43)
Yes, women who have killed their unborn babies should and will be forgiven by God if they are truly sorry and ashamed, but singing abortion lullabies by removing shame is only going to lead to a greater abortion holocaust.
Pray an Our Father now for the restoration of the Church.

Frankie thinks that sins of the flesh are not that big a deal.
And yet, sins of the flesh is what has given us the horror of abortion.
Somebody wake him up.

This is one of the most repulsive of the many repulsive things Francis has done. It almost sounds like it’s good to kill your baby, because then he can go right to Heaven and you can sing him songs without having to worry about bringing up him or letting him suck money off your dog-food and special pet-treat purchases.
Francis is a combination of evil and stupid.

Francis said the issue of abortion was both about forgiving but also helping, accompanying the woman who understands and is aware of what she has done by aborting. He stressed the message of mercy is for everyone, also for the human being that is the developing child. It is for everyone, the Pope told reporters, adding that abortions are terrible traumas.
After understanding, repentance, and confession, there is still the need for consolation. I don't think Francis was saying, skip straight to the lullaby.

Watch the first 60 seconds & you’ll stay for the delivery!
The left and feminists have written the obituary for western culture. Co-authors? The millions who remain silent as those dead American babies are replaced by the alien cultures now assaulting our gates.

I have been so very VOCAL and understanding and open-minded about "Choosing Life." It meant so much to me to understand that some people were institutionalized in the same left-wing shacks as I. I was open-armed, open-minded, full of love.
With the latest passage in New York
Of an Act that:
- Legalizes abortion unto birth
- Does so for any reason including "financial reasons"
- Limits for the first time medical qualifications necessary - Allows it to be legal to let a baby born alive to die - if it was meant to be aborted anyway -
I am DISGUSTED to be an American,
OUTRAGED by the Democrats,
And utterly SILENCED - left speechless, motionless, actionless...
And I will STAY SILENT when and if the LORD and his angels visit their wrath by whatever means He chooses.

I don't think Francis was saying, skip straight to the lullaby. Probably not. And "Who am I to judge?" was not an endorsement of sodomy-on-request either. But both of these off-the-cuff remarks lend themselves to just such readings--and the Vatican NEVER corrects the mess.

Francis has been appalingly lax and careless on homosexuality and divorce. It always surprises me that he does appear to truly oppose abortion.
And he could speak more carefully, but the Tablet article does show that it was better in full context.

During the same week that New York State decriminalized de facto infanticide, Pope Francis, while traveling in Panama, took obvious swipes at President Trump for The Wall...yet said not a word about abortion. When asked about abortion, the Pope responded with bizarre recollections about having advised women to sing lullabies to babies they had aborted. Meaning, he had nothing to say about the practice of abortion, the laws recently passed in New York, or about the babies who had been aborted. His concern was only for women who perhaps felt bad about having had abortions. The babies themselves matter only to the extent that they occupy the thoughts of their mothers.

His comments did seem to be related to dealing with a woman in confession- indicating that he was talking about dealing with those who are presumably truly repentant.
The more difficult issue is his presumption that all aborted childrens’ souls are automatically in heaven. Maybe they are, maybe some are, and one can certainly hope in the mercy of God- but to make such a presumption go’s against the teaching of the Church and seems to come from an inappropriate sentimentality (which is rampant in our current culture). Certainly such a presumption could make it easier for an expectant Mother in a stressful situation to proceed with an abortion.

Very good point. But then, one has to realize that Bergoglio doesnt believe in right and wrong, immortality, the Four Last Things, or any of that Jesus stuff. Not to mention the God of Israel, who to Frankie is simply one of many expressions, along with his favorite, the Pachamama.

He also tends to psychologize questions rather than draw from moral or theological bases. Unfortunately his 1970’s encounter group style is not spiritually uplifting

Bergoglio’s comments were grossly inappropriate. He was not advising priests during a private meeting that dealt only with how to advise penitents in the confession booth; he was being asked about abortion on a day when the practice was being legalized in the USA to an extent that it was becoming virtually indistinguishable from infanticide. Yet the Pope, who has been harping endlessly on the the POTUS’s push to build a border wall, said not a word about the practice itself, instead blathered about how women who have had abortions should sing to their dead babies in Heaven. (Note this is one of the rare times this Pope has focuses on anything eternal, rather than secular.) Does ANYBODY care about the babies themselves and the fact that they are being slaughtered? Is the only thing that matters — when the Pope is forced to focus on the issue — assuaging the consciences of the women who commissioned their slaughter? We are in The Twilight Zone, folks.

The Vatican doesn't correct the mess because Bergoglio created it on purpose.
