Remember when Pope Francis was declared the LGBT "Person of the Year"?

Well, now he's being attacked by the Elgee-Beaty tribe. a step in the right direction.

I still think he's guilty of "praising with faint damns".

If he's at a loss for words, he should refer to the Catechism (as good Catholics do!) and say that such acts are "acts of grave depravity," they are "intrinsically disordered," they "do not proceed from a genuine affective and sexual complementarity," "under no circumstances can they be approved," and even a homosexual tendency or inclination is "intrinsically disordered."

The Catechism (LINK) is a good resource, Holy Father. It contains Scripture, Tradition, and the authentic Papal Magisterium. I'd look into it, if I were you.

But thanks for trying!

So much for words, words, words.

P. Francis hasn't hesitated to sack whole religious orders for the crime of fidelity to the Latin Mass. Let's see if he fires any LGBT "allies" from his own elite cabinet, the G9 (hint: start with Rodriguez Maradiaga and Bernhard Marx) or if he suppresses any religious orders or "media personalities" which advocate for this perversion (like Fr. James Martin, LGBT.SJ).

I'd stand on my hands and clap my feet if that happened....I'm not holding my breath.

But do keep praying. This may be some Holy Spirit action here, almost like the Balaam Syndrome (Numbers 22-25), where the false prophet is pretty much forced by the Lord to say the right thing.

“Francis, who has implied tolerance but never officially remarked that he approves of same sex marriages, has in the past said that Catholics should accept and welcome gay parishioners to the pews among them. But it seems that he doesn’t want them behind the pulpit.”

So said the early Boy Scouts “tolerant” appeasers.

Obviously, there is something wrong with the mechanism of the church. This man should not be the head of the Church.

How about FORBIDS!?!?!?!?!

Forbids is the correct term.

I observe that the laws of all 50 of these United States forbid murder, rape, and robbery.

Catholics should accept and welcome gay parishioners and call them to REPENTANCE and CONVERSION.

The Priestly Fraternity of St. Peter practices the Latin Mass without repercussion.

What entire orders has he “sacked”?

..it would be better for priests who are actively gay
to leave rather than lead a double life

Would be best? Horrific understatement

Some of the pre-Vatican 2 Roman Catholics might question that.

Pope Francis swatted For all his blather about "listening" and "accompanying" and "collegiality" and "synodality" and all that, Pope Francis can turn on a dime and act like an utter despot if he thinks there's some conservative Catholics out there who need to be suppressed.

Francis' biggest coup --- still hardly remarked upon, though it's bloody obvious --- is that he's using the Chinese Communist Party as enforcers to suppress the faithful, traditionalist, underground Catholic Church in China.

The laws of all 50 of the states USED to forbid sodomy as well.

"Sodomy" is the LEGAL term (ya can look it up) for deviant intercourse.

I do not aggregate insider-baseball information on Chancery and Curial politics, but it has been posted (here at FR I think) that the Pope seemingly intends to corral all of the Traditional Rite Catholics into one ecclesiastic association or prelature as Step One in a Two-Step plan to
(1) get them separate from their respective Dioceses and (2) then clobber them.

Ah. Here.

They want to remove the individual right of priests to say the TLM so that we can only get the mass from their approved sources. A few years back when it seemed that the Vatican was close to reconciling with the SSPX, there was a rumor going around that if it happened, that all Traditional Mass communities would be rolled into the SSPX auspices, so that the SSPX would be the only place to get the traditional mass. The SSPX was intended to be the Honey Pot, the place to gather all the recalcitrant under one roof, where they lie in wait for the final blow. The SSPX did not fall for it, but I believe the plan remains the same.

I believe they intend to do away with Summorum Pontificum and its individual right of priests to say the mass and force all traditional Catholic into one or a few approved sources, perhaps the FSSP and the ICKSP or some juiced up Ecclesia Dei commission, if they can't close the deal on the SSPX.

Then, BOOM!

Actuating Schism: the Honey Pot

Ask your son what the current definition is per UCMJ. I wonder if it has changed since I was briefed on the topic (eons ago).

My parish, St. Stephen of Sacramento, is part of the FSSP.

Classic Latin Mass, Choir and all.

I guess this is one of the orders Pope intends as the “honey pot”? It will most certainly engender great anger should he close it down.

Most members would likely never return to another mass anywhere, ever.

UCMJ
925. ARTICLE 125. SODOMY
10. Punitive Articles

(a) Any person subject to this chapter who engages in unnatural carnal copulation with another person of the same or opposite sex or with an animal is guilty of sodomy. Penetration , however slight, is sufficient to complete the offense.

(b) Any person found guilty of sodomy shall be punished as a court-martial may direct.
