Jeremiah 29:7 And seek (inquire for, require, and request) the peace and welfare of the city to which I have caused you to be carried away captive; and pray to the Lord for it, for in the welfare of [the city in which you live] you will have welfare.
Ephesians 2:19 Therefore you are no longer outsiders (exiles, migrants, and aliens, excluded from the rights of citizens), but you now share citizenship with the saints (God’s own people, consecrated and set apart for Himself); and you belong to God’s [own] household.
Philippians 3:20 But we are citizens of the state (commonwealth, homeland) which is in heaven, and from it also we earnestly and patiently await [the coming of] the Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah) [as] Savior,
Philippians 1:27, 28 Only be sure as citizens so to conduct yourselves [that] your manner of life [will be] worthy of the good news (the Gospel) of Christ, so that whether I [do] come and see you or am absent, I may hear this of you: that you are standing firm in united spirit and purpose, striving side by side and contending with a single mind for the faith of the glad tidings (the Gospel). 28 And do not [for a moment] be frightened or intimidated in anything by your opponents and adversaries, for such [constancy and fearlessness] will be a clear sign (proof and seal) to them of [their impending] destruction, but [a sure token and evidence] of your deliverance and salvation, and that from God.

Father God, in the name of Jesus, we are grateful that You have planted us in the United States of America--for most of us, until our homegoing. We can vote. We can pray for our leaders, openly on a publicly accessible website. We can proclaim the name of Jesus. We can invite people to attend our churches--on a Sunday morning, in view of all. Glory to You for this Nation. Thank You for giving us the authority not only to come to You in prayer to spiritually change the things that are against Your will, but we can teach Your Word to help You change minds.

We are not of this world, but we are here to make a difference here for Your glory. Strengthen us and thrust us into the harvest through the doors of utterance You open. May they see You through the love we have for others and the peace we have in the midst of chaos.

We pray for Governor Walker of Wisconsin. As a recount will assuredly happen, bring to light anything that is hidden. Uncover faulty ballots and any mistakes that have been made. He is one of Yours and we ask You still today for favor. Angels, we charge You to find and bring in uncounted ballots. We ask You for those working the recount to be honorable and cooperative in seeking accuracy. We take authority over the enemy who might yet be working to stop that from happening. In the name of Jesus, lying, strife causing spirits are bound. Amen. Truth will prevail in Jesus' name.

Prepare those who have been recently elected to take office by providing godly advisors and ALL the information they need to make the correct decisions and serve the people who have just elected them. For those who were not of Your choice, we ask You to convict them concerning righteousness and work with laborers to cause them to understand and receive Jesus as Lord. Protect those who were Your choice physically and spiritually. Remind them that they were exalted by You alone.

Personally, I bless You for my prayer partners and the unity we have in seeking Your will in our Nation. I am honored to be a part of this group of warriors You have assembled.

America Prayer Vigil addendum.

Governor Walker has conceded, so we pray Father for his comfort. We ask You, Sir,to give him a new zeal for the next assignment You have for his life. We know that it is a good assignment and a perfect plan that gives him hope and a good future in service to You. May his constituents be diligent to pray for Mr. Evers, knowing that this is their responsibility and knowing that You will hear and answer. Thank You, Sir, in Jesus' name. Amen.

Father God, as we lift up those senselessly killed in Thousand Oaks, I also want to pray to You that the media’s frequent linking of PTSD with senseless murder will be dissolved and disappear. It is a slap against our many brave troops who have served and suffered PTSD without engaging in criminal or mentally ill behavior with firearms. Thank You, Father, for all who have served honorably and have come home to enhance their family and community life, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
