The ‘Religious Left’ Espouses Fake Doctrine That Deceives the Many

“The National Council of Churches makes a rare statement to Oppose Kavanaugh.” So read the headline accompanying the lead story a fortnight ago in the The Washington Post’s “Acts of Faith” section.

The WaPo hailed the NCC – the (fake) religious arm of the Democrat Party – for its denunciation of President Trump’s Supreme Court nominee (and, by extension, President Trump himself).

And the paper misleadingly suggested that the NCC’s statement represented the prevailing sentiment of the “more than 30 million U.S. parishioners” the Protestant organization purportedly represents.

But the NCC hardly speaks for the more than 30 million parishioners. It speaks only for those aligned with the Religious Left.

Indeed, the statement condemning Judge Kavanaugh – which the WaPo attributed to NCC’s ecumenical partnership of 38 Protestant faiths – was not endorsed by any of the 38, but was unilaterally released by Rev. Jim Winkler, the group’s president and self-appointed social justice warrior.

Winkler similarly employed the same politically-motivated tactic just yesterday when he made the unilateral decision to rebuke the Trump administration for moving the U.S. Embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, while at the same time demanding that President Trump “recognize East Jerusalem as the Capital of the State of Palestine.”

And yesterday’s machinations by Rev. Winkler follow his declaration last month to Cuban Present Miguel Diaz-Canel that the NCC opposes the U.S. trade embargo with communist Cuba, which, under the Cuban Democracy Act continues to remain in place until the communist regime moves toward “democratization and greater respect for human rights.”

Meanwhile, the positions of NCC’s president on such moral issues as homosexuality and abortion are indistinguishable with those of the Human Rights Campaign, the nation’s largest lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender (LGBT) advocacy organization, and Planned Parenthood, the nation’s largest abortion provider.”

Rev. Winkler is a supporter of homosexual marriage, defying the Word of God which declares, unequivocally, that a man “shall not lie with a male as with a woman. It is abomination.” He also is an unabashed advocate for abortion on demand, disregarding the scripture proclaiming children “a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward.”

The National Council of Churches has repudiated the Word of God in favor of its own modernist world view. That may earn Rev. Jim Winkler the plaudits of The Washington Post. That may reaffirm NCC’s standing as the foremost voice of the Religious Left.

But the day will come when all of NCC’s leaders, beginning with Rev. Winkler, will be held account for the fake doctrine they have espoused that has deceived the many.

During his tenure as secretary general of United Methodist Church, Winkler called for the impeachment of President George W. Bush because of his opposition to the Iraq War.

Many of us called for impeachment of George W. Bush for his amnesty/open borders stand during wartime in Iraq.

Until a decade or so later, when we realized, along with President Trump, that Bush was not only a RINO fake regarding immigration, but also completely wrong on Iraq.

Colin Powell as much admitted there were no WMDs.

So, using Bush as an example of the Religious Left (whatever that is) is a losing proposition.

Mostly because Bush’s true stands are lying and liberal stands.

Bush funded Planned Parenthood for the entire eight years he was in office.

Karl Rove apparently “calls the shots” about Planned Parenthood, according to Republican Tea Partier Karen Handel.

Please don’t refer to Bush as some bell-weather of conservatism. It’s laughable and actually... quite macabre.

“You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy.”

Or, as this conglomeration is called in the Book of Revelation, the Church in Laodicea.

“We are warned in 1 Timothy 4:1-2:”
“The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons. Such teachings come through hypocritical liars, whose consciences have been seared as with a hot iron.”

So what does that say about churches that embrace abortion and gay marriage.

The NCC is where all the Leftists in the “main stream” churches go to work when they don’t have positions in their own denomination. Those from the denominations are almost entirely in the NCC leadership positions and mostly all the staff can come from the general public. They spend a lot of money making a lot of noise signifying nothing.

Unlike most Conservative churches I have known, the people filling the pews in “main stream” churhces are overwhelmingly sheeple who wouldn’t know if a sermon was not biblically sound. Thus their blind acquiesence in the funds collected to go to the NCC.

Obviously the Rev. Winkler does not believe in Heaven or Hell, else why would he advocate for the murder of children?

“For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will mislead many. Then if anyone says to you, ‘Behold, here is the Christ,’ or ‘There He is,’ do not believe him. For false Christs and false prophets will arise and will show great signs and wonders, so as to mislead, if possible, even the elect.”
