Heavenly Father
We praise You, Lord, for watching over our nation. And during times of peril, Youve been our help when our existence as the United States of America has been threatened.
Yet through Providence, we see Your deliverance during the War of 1812. When the British burned our capitol, Washington D.C., You sent a tornado to fight the British. As Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon, a pagan king who put his faith in the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, said:
As we pass an anniversary of the Star Spangled Banner September 13, 1814 may we remember Your deliverance, Lord, during those dark days of the War of 1812. And through this trial, Youve given us a song, our national anthem, born from our struggle for liberty.
In our day, as the Marine stuns a Tea Party with the fourth verse of the Star Spangled Banner
, may we reflect on these words:
Two centuries later, the dark spiritual powers in high places seem so strong. Theyve infiltrated our culture, our mainstream media, our social media, our government, our education system, our various houses of worship. It seems once trusted institutions have lost their way. Failed to guide us. Spread lies. Rot with corruption.
May we take heart that our merciful Lord raises up ordinary people to do extraordinary things. Through the power of the Spirit, Gods people continue to reflect His Light in a dark world, like the stars of heaven in the night sky.
May our gracious Lord protect President Trump. Fill him with Your Spirit. Grant him Your Wisdom. Give him courage, discernment, and strength. Deliver him from the treachery of the enemy within.
May Your Provident hand move in the 2018 mid-term elections and ensure the integrity of those elections. May all attempts of voter fraud be frustrated. Raise up godly representatives who look out for We, the People. May godly judges rise to the benchespecially justices to the Supreme Court.
Give Your people spiritual discernment. Spark revival in our hearts. Ignite another Great Awakening in our land. May You be glorified, Lord, for the great things You have done!
In Jesus Name,
Amen
Amen.
Amen!
Amen.
The hypertext link labeled “the Star Spangled Banner” is to a Youtube site called “The Star Spangled Banner as You Have Never Heard It” which tells a wildly inaccurate story about the origin of the National Anthem. This story has been floating around the Internet for years. Proceed with caution.
Amen
Amen, and thank you for this prayer.

Psalm 32
Of David. A Maskil.
1 Happy are those whose transgression is forgiven,
whose sin is covered.
2 Happy are those to whom the Lord imputes no iniquity,
and in whose spirit there is no deceit.
3 While I kept silence, my body wasted away
through my groaning all day long.
4 For day and night your hand was heavy upon me;
my strength was dried up* as by the heat of summer.
Selah
5 Then I acknowledged my sin to you,
and I did not hide my iniquity;
I said, I will confess my transgressions to the Lord,
and you forgave the guilt of my sin.
Selah
6 Therefore let all who are faithful
offer prayer to you;
at a time of distress,* the rush of mighty waters
shall not reach them.
7 You are a hiding-place for me;
you preserve me from trouble;
you surround me with glad cries of deliverance.
Selah
8 I will instruct you and teach you the way you should go;
I will counsel you with my eye upon you.
9 Do not be like a horse or a mule, without understanding,
whose temper must be curbed with bit and bridle,
else it will not stay near you.
10 Many are the torments of the wicked,
but steadfast love surrounds those who trust in the Lord.
11 Be glad in the Lord and rejoice, O righteous,
and shout for joy, all you upright in heart.
Amen and thank you.
Amen to your Beautiful, Powerful Prayer, Dear Servant of Jesus Christ.
Joining you in Thanksgiving, Prayer, and Praise.
