New York and New Jersey Launch Investigations of Sex Abuse in Catholic Church

New York and New Jersey have launched new probes into sexual abuse in the Catholic Church in light of Pennsylvania’s recent grand jury report.

New York Attorney General Barbara Underwood, moved by the Pennsylvania report on child sexual abuse, subpoenaed all eight dioceses in the state for information and documents regarding any allegations of sexual abuse, payments to alleged victims, and church investigation findings. Gurbir Grewal, the attorney general of New Jersey, meanwhile, announced the formation of a special task force assigned to investigate the way seven dioceses have handled sexual abuse allegations. Catholic Church officials in New York affirmed they were “ready and eager” to assist the authorities in their investigation.

“It is not a surprise to us that the attorney general would look to begin a civil investigation, and she will find the archdiocese of New York, and the other seven dioceses in the state, ready and eager to work together with her in the investigation,” said New York archdiocese spokesman Joseph Zwilling, according to The Associated Press.

I applaud the investigations.

In fact I demand them.

Has there ever been a citywide statewide or national investigation into sex in schools betwern teachers and pupils? Any statement from the NEA union? Certainly I’ve never heard them denounce it and in some cases teachers were moved to offend again

All Priests must confess their sins
Homosexual acts are a mortal sin
Sexual assault is legally actionable

Making part of Penance notifying appropriate police authorities
Of the crime, if Penance is not completed, the priest is defrocked
And self excommunicates.

Problem solved

Let’s watch as a bunch of high-ranking priests suddenly develop Alzheimer’s disease.

Every single state in the country should be launching a legal, criminal investigation against the RC church, including ALL RC ORPHANAGES, and what horrific crimes against innocent children took place within them:

Might I gently suggest, given the two stares involved, that we hold off on the applause until we see a ****load of indictments of not just the perps, but their enablers, too.

...the two states, NY and NJ...

The state AGs should have done this over 16 years ago, right after the Boston expose.

Well yeah. I want to see how far it reaches into the chanceries.

Your mistake is in thinking it reaches from the lower clergy up to the chanceries.

Rather, it extends down from the curia (and now, perhaps even the papacy) on down to the national bishops’ conferences, to the chanceries, to the pastors, to the individual priests, and then the seminary directors who recruit fresh meat into their homoclergy demonocracy.

I think there's way more culpability in the Vatican than in chanceries, and more in chanceries than in rectories. In other words, I suspect the higher up the clerical ladder you go, the worse it gets, if only because the gents in the Old Boys Club have more years' experience, were probably exposed to and/or participating in the rot as early as the 1970's themselves, and --- even if they weren't --- they have much higher levels of supervisory responsibility.

I don't think that the abuse flows from the lower clergy to the higher. I think that the secular investigation --- the grand juries and so forth --- are likely to start with the lower, and work up to the higher.

Most of the abuse is old news: even the PA AG report was mostly stuff that was already reported in the John Jay report. (Want to know how many cases they found from the last 10 years? Hundreds? Dozens? No: two. That's right, two. And they had already been reported to the authorities by their own dioceses.) What's NEW is the focus on not the abuse itself, but the complicity of the higher-ups in cover-ups and pay-offs.

And possibly, also, there will be a new focus on the exploitation of legally of-age victims --- seminarians and young clerics --- over the age of 18, which makes up the bulk of the disgusting, sacrilegious pile of vice known as the McCarrick case.

On the surface, it all sounds good. But will these AG’s really be investigating in good faith?

Or will this be a way to damage the Church while exonerating the vile and evil lgbtq crowd? The homosexual mafia has significant political power, unfortunately, and is not about to get exposed as the corrupt pedophiles they are.

The result, as I see it, will be the elimination of the tax exempt status of Churches and government oversight (as if secular government has a clue) to ‘keep them in line’.

Anyone who would have challenged the official narrative will be silenced, if not already censored by big social media.

Still, the gates of hell will not prevail, as the Lord Jesus has promised. Therefore, the Chair of Peter WILL prevail, and be crowned with final victory.

What does that have to do with the topic at hand?

And Yes, I demand the same investigations.

The secular prosecutions will be deserved, but ultimately, feckless. They will focus on abuse of minors (and perhaps the newest victim group: “vulnerable persons”), rehash a lot of old stuff, but find some new stuff, and maybe punish a few bishops for covering-up, but the secular authorities will use their prosecutions to:

1. MOST IMPORTANTLY: Deflect from the real cause: the homoclergy network that runs the Church;

2. Climb their way up politically;

3. Further attack the moral authority of the Church;

4. Use civil fines, penalties, judgements, and seizures through forfeiture law to make a few bucks.

It is a necessary step in God’s purging the Church, but it won’t result in a better Church. This step is designed to soften things up for complete civilizational collapse. For the Church, it will begin a long era of worsening persecution. The next step will come after the collapse of our society (To the islamics? I don’t know. Just a guess.) After a long purge, and cleansing of society of the sodomite crime, then the Church will be purified, and will rebuild.

My intention isn’t to bash any Church, but to make sure that the evil-doers are punished to the fullest extent of the law.
