Certainly, nothing prevents us from taking other actions to resolve the problems we face, but prayer is always the primary answer. To everything. It is the answer Jesus gave us.

The good news is that evil WILL BE DEFEATED according to THE BOOK.

“people have been praying for millenia”

We tend to forget God and think that we are in control when times are good. In times of suffering, we feel that we are not in control and turn to God for help. Thus suffering causes us to search for God.

However, the Holy Spirit is here to help us and stronger than ever. The message to me in contemplative prayer for the past six years has been “rise above everything going on in this world through prayer. Do not get caught up choosing sides on earth, but choose God in Heaven.”
*************************************************************
John 14
26 But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you. 27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.

28 “You heard me say, ‘I am going away and I am coming back to you.’ If you loved me, you would be glad that I am going to the Father, for the Father is greater than I. 29 I have told you now before it happens, so that when it does happen you will believe. 30 I will not say much more to you, for the prince of this world is coming. He has no hold over me, 31 but he comes so that the world may learn that I love the Father and do exactly what my Father has commanded me.

Acts 2
17 “‘In the last days, God says,
I will pour out my Spirit on all people.
Your sons and daughters will prophesy,
your young men will see visions,
your old men will dream dreams.
18 Even on my servants, both men and women,
I will pour out my Spirit in those days,
and they will prophesy.
19 I will show wonders in the heavens above
and signs on the earth below,
blood and fire and billows of smoke.
20 The sun will be turned to darkness
and the moon to blood
before the coming of the great and glorious day of the Lord.
21 And everyone who calls
on the name of the Lord will be saved.’
**********************************************************

Although I know the Bible states that “in the end times, none would survive if it were not for God’s intervention,” I don’t remember where that scripture is located. Thought is was Acts. As I get older and my brain is getting full, it’s harder to find some memories!!!
