I don’t know the ins and outs of theistic evolutionary theory - or how old the earth is. all i know is: WE DID NOT COME FROM MONKEYS.

The Lineage of Jesus Through Mary (As recorded in St. Luke's Gospel)

Luke, as a physician, focuses on the humanity of Jesus and presents Him as the Son of Man. Luke traces the blood line from Adam (the first Man) through to David -- and his genealogy from Abraham through David is identical to Matthew's. “Monkeys” for some is the semantic generic equivalent of apes. I do remember that there was a theory that apes, chimps and humans all branched out from a common ancestor and not as the famous “ascent of man” drawing depicts it. I believe the biologist was Crompton.
