Fourteen years ago, Reuben Ekeme Inwes wife, Roselyn, had a dream. In it Inwe is preaching to a large crowdnot unusual given the young pastor had been delivering sermons in Lagos for yearsbut this time the faces in the audience arent black but white. A material like white sand falls on the building where Inwe and his fictive congregation have gathered.
We later recognized this was snow. Theres definitely no snow in Lagos, Inwe says, seated at a cafe in Yorks old city center of winding lanes and overhanging second-story shops. Roselyns dream, or vision as Inwe now refers to it, would be the first of several signs that led the couple to uproot their lives in Nigeria and move to the north of England. Here, their mission is to spread the gospel, specifically among white British nonbelievers.
Today, Inwe leads a church called Hope Centre out of a community center that also hosts mothers groups, Zumba classes, and French lessons. Hes worked hard to connect with his English neighbors. He brings their trash bins in from the street, invites them to tea (a new habit for him), and sends them Easter cards. His Twitter profile is a picture of him standing in the snow in his adopted city.
Considering liberal obsession with race, it might be ONLY African missionaries that can bring them to Christ.
Wondering why Christianity thrives in Africa.
Could it be: Little money. No temptation to become materialistic. Established family values. Long tradition of helping each other out. See misery every day. See violence. Turn to God.
I used to work wit a guy from Ghana.
He could have passed for an American Black which makes me thing that a lot of them came from that area originally.
A very fine man. Devout Southern Baptist and also politically Conservative.
He planned on returning to Ghana and enter politics. I imagine he would have a tough time there but I hope he did so.
He once told me his college room mate was an American Black guy. He said the guy was pure evil. Spent all his time thinking of something evil he could do.
This is good news. The UK has become post-Christian. Maybe the African missionaries can turn this trend around.
When I was a child at a summer Bible Camp (many, many years ago), an American missionary home on leave from Africa made a prediction. He said, “If our country keeps on its Godless path, we will see Christian missionaries come to us from Africa, instead of the other way around.”
This is the second story I have read this year that shows his prediction coming true.
Africans are bringing Christianity back to the US, too.
Before he died, my dad (with most of the rest of the congregation) left their defiled Episcopalian church to join the Anglicans.

Next pope is african.
Only if the RC church is lucky.
There are many African and Asian (India) priests in U. S. Catholic Churches.
Cardinal Robert Sarah would make an excellent pope!
The only upticks in the graph are Pentacostals and “other”.
Could the other be Muslims?
Could the other be Muslims?
Since that graph is labeled "Christian Church," I'd suppose not. I don't know enough about what's happening there to venture a specific guess.
Thanks for the correction.
