America Prayer Vigil - 7/19/18

“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof” (Amendment I)

Father God, we bless You today in the name of Jesus for the freedom we have to assemble with other believers. We do not take this privilege lightly. We want to pray for the growth of bold, Truth-preaching churches in our Nation.

You have told us, “Now these are the gifts Christ gave to the church: the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, and the pastors and teachers.” These people are gifts to us from You. Thank You for each one who answered Your call and for equipping them spiritually and financially to fulfill this call. We pray for each one “that God would open to him a door for the word, to speak the mystery of Christ”. Send exhorters with the reminder to “Preach the word! Be ready in season [and] out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching”.

For the members of the body of Christ, we pray that Your Spirit would encourage each one to “consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as [is] the manner of some, but exhorting [one another,] and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.” May we be as devoted to fellowship as the early Church, “So continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved.”

What we are hungry to see, Sir, is “ ['And][ it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, That I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and] [your daughters shall prophesy, Your young men shall see visions, Your old men shall dream dreams. ] [And on My menservants and on My maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days; And they shall prophesy. ].

Thank You for watching over Your Word to perform it. We are so grateful for the work of Your Spirit and the obedience of Your servants that have brought us to this place and time. Amen.

Unless the LORD builds the house, They labor in vain who build it; Unless the LORD guards the city, The watchman stays awake in vain.

LORD of the harvest,

Pour out Your SPIRIT upon all people. Prepare the lost to receive the GOOD NEWS of JESUS CHRIST. Soften their hearts of stone and lift the veil that keeps them from knowing You. Give us Divine appointments. Place us in strategic places to share the GOOD NEWS. Let us shine the light of Christ wherever we go.
