Theres nothing in the Bible giving any religious authority in any such matters........ except among pagans.

So you don’t believe the priest should ask you if you are morally clean before baptism?
If you ask what is morally clean he will ask if you are having sex with anyone (outside of marriage).
To me that is his business.
Thank GOD they are not repeating what Jesus reportedly said!!
b Matthew 5:27-28
FWIW, many parents are quite comfortable letting their religious leadership counsel their children on things like sexual morality. My wife grew up in a Catholic/Methodist household and was never comfortable about counseling our daughters about such things until they were well into their teen years.
Dad was their source of information before then. I didn't mind filling the void because I knew all about the alternative sources of such information and most of them were not good.
If you have a trusted religious leader whom you know to be moral and decent, just ask yourself if you want your child to get this kind of information from them, from you (if you are one of the few parents who are willing) or, by default, from a left-wing school, peers or Hollyweird.
Not a tough choice, IMHO.
