Pope Francis delivered a Holy Thursday homily for a congregation of priests attending Mass at St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome in which he told them that they “can” tell adulterers to “go and sin no more,” but should not do it “with the legalistic tone of truth as definition.”

Instead, he told them, they should do it with the “tone of truth as fidelity.”

“I suggest that you meditate on three areas of priestly closeness where the words, ‘Do everything Jesus tells you,’ need to be heard—in a thousand different ways but with the same motherly tone—in the hearts of all those with whom we speak,” he said. …

I don’t really worry so much, but I go get concerned.

Then don't concern yourself, not on our account.

Have a good day doodle, hope you’re not in a snow hell like up here.

Nope, gloomy but around 50 degrees. Not the best Opening Day for my beloved Royals but we'll take it.

That sounds like to admonish one not to commit adultery is a ‘suggestion’, not a command.

The Roman Catholic Church is the one true Church founded by Christ. Please save your bigotry and ignorance for remarks to someone else, as I will not answer you again.

I’m sorry the truth is offensive. I only say it because I care.

50? I wish heh.

I’m still dealing with other patriots up here to deal with these school threats etc. We have no allies except us citizens willing to stand up and be counted.

Pope needs a better vocabulary about what he means there. They are either living in sin and must be warned that they are endangering their and their partners ever living soul to a future consignment of eternal torment in hell, or they are told wink wink, ok... now try not to do it again.

Francis to his flock: “Get off that narrow path at once. We have a nice wide one over here.”

Only a pope like Bergoglio could so “mess” up the Triduum, on purpose.

More than that if you accept Jesus' teachings that those who divorce and remarry commit adultery.

In Matthew 19:9 he appears to make an exception if your spouse commits adultery. I am Catholic and have never heard my Church adequately explain this.

Matthew offers the one exception for infidelity. But Mark has no exceptions; divorce and marry another and you commit adultery period. Those are more in keeping with the teachings of the Church.

Not sure but I know he is driving some faithful Roman Catholics to do so.

This pope is but a false leader of the one True Church; he is not the Church. This, too, shall pass, as Christ has promised us that the Gates of Hell shall not prevail against His Church.

Throughout history there have been a lot of popes much worse than this one. Murderous, adulterous popes who make this one look like a choirboy.

Adultery is the inappropriate expression of a natural urge.

Sodomy is the disordered expression of a deviant urge.
