That is correct usage for “so”. So, what does that have to do with the usage as an interjection at the beginning of a sentence? :=)
Black lives Matter. Phrase that is not really serious given number of black abortions and black on black murders which go without protest. Normal people realize all life maters.

I believe the author is picking on the word ‘so’ as it is ‘so’ overused, that it’s ‘so’ fricking unbelievable.
It’s like someone going ‘uh’ or ‘like’ as they speak. It’s a verbal stammer.
Don’t be confused — “Cis-gendered” is just a made-up, derogatory term that means “normal”.
Also of significant enjoyment is a short book on pronunciation published decades ago -- "There Is No 'Zoo' in 'Zoology'" by Charles Harrington Ellster -- is guaranteed to make anyone who reads it a PITA to be reckoned with (also available through Amazon, I think).

The list of bastardized nouns is endless. To "impact" is jarring, for instance, and "impactful" is idiotic.
This kind of nonsense comes from bureaucrats who are at once tyrannical and terrified. Some white male university president, if there is one left, would use "decision" as a verb because to say "I decided" smacks of privilege.
To "decision" something blurs the subject AND the action.
No one really knows who made the call, and whatever was "decisioned" is now locked within impenetrable new walls.

Maybe it’s just regional, but around here people exclaim “perfect” or “good job” when the person they’re talking to hasn’t done anything.
Add “going forward,” “in terms of” to the list.
But when you are cis-gendered, that means you got a "package" or some "junk," and you are just fiiine with that.

If we could all agree, there wouldn’t be a need to discuss it, so that’s just a way of saying “I’m right so don’t argue with me”.
