John and Beverly Tolbert on the mission field.
There are no atheists in foxholes.
No atheists in foxholes, eh?
Thank you, John, for going over there and battling the commie murderers.
That conveys to me at least, what must be the terror of being in danger of losing your life, especially in something as seemingly random as an artillery barrage.
A terror so encompassing where you probably begin to think that every shell is seeking you out, and the one that is going to kill you has already left the barrel and is coming directly to you...a terror so profound you would have no shame, being a committed atheist and wishing for God, the one you not only ignored, but openly and unabashedly denied the existence of, to save you from death.
I am certain there have been shelling barrages that have changed the lives of the survivors.
There are no atheists in foxholes..............
JOHN’S road to DAMASCUS moment. No doubt an answer to a mother’s prayers.
There are also no atheists once the Dentist’s drill spins up...
Atheists are the dumbest folks in any situation, especially since so many of them consider themselves educated.
I often wonder, when the atheists came to murder Madalyne Murray O’Hair, did she say “OH MY GOD!” or “OH MY ME!”
My late father was once an atheist. He gave me the most eloquent testimony on faith. He said that his first combat tour in Vietnam cured him “of that particular conceit.”
